Theres this game called Ragnarok Online. Its a mmorpg but the graphics aren't supposed to be super awesome like WoW or EQ2. They made them to look like old final fantasy gameish anime characters. The game isn't free but I think you can play a trial of it. I signed up and they sent me a free instalation disk and like 30 day trial which was damn awesome. Also some Cyber Cafe's carry it and you can go there and play for free =D.

I could list some... but I got bored of them and don't play anymore... well actually only half of it was getting bored the other half was the admins though I do still play SW Combine (www.swcombine.com/) which is a free online Star Wars Sim.

Well, these games seem promising 
. My gunbound SN is *surprisingly* greenreaper (lol) but I hardly go on any more. My rank is a battle axe though... Runescape is a MMORPG that is in 3D, and you can level up/gain stats and is pretty much the 'standard' RPG. I personally don't like it because it gets boring after awhile. I heard Maple Story was a pretty good game...but the open beta sign-ups were closed

Runescape is the game where you can be medieval AND be a lotr character at the same time, you also cant forget the cheezy graphics.

Don't forget about Starcraft(and Broodwar) and Diablo(with it's other sequels and expansions). Those can be fun, but they can also get boring too. At least they're free to play online.

You can always go the route of text rpgs. I think they are called muds? I used to be on a team that created one. It was super fun and really easy to program and put in anything you want. Like I made a forest and the rule was that you had to have at least 2 'looks' per square. By 'look' i mean a word that shows up in a brigher color in the area description and the player types /look then the word and it shows a small description of the item. You can also make quests, buildings, enemies, npcs, enemy and npc spells and progs (mobprogs). Super fun and free free free. If you do decide to go that way, I recomend getting a text rpg client that has a mapping feature. That way you can keep track of where you are going and where you have been. withough it, you are pretty much walking in the dark.

The only relation it has to Worms is the ground blowing up, Worms is much more fun.
