I understand Enable and Disable. What is toggle? Also, How do you change the Doodad State in the middle of a level? I have read the Help file several times. When I use the trigger, it asks for a unit type, and the only unit types I can choose from are the Doors and Turrents. I am very confused.

I recommend you get the Xtra Editors, that way you have a larger option to set doodad state. Toggle changes it, like if it was enabled, it would disable it, and vice versa.

Also; only certain UNITS can be effected by Disable and Enable; otherwise Starcraft Crashes.

I have the X-Tra Editor, but what do I do?? There is a way to do it without the X-Tra editor and I would like to do it that way. If you only know a way with the X-tra I'll do it that way too.

A walkthrough of doodad state triggers:

First know what each function does.

Enable: Will enable the doodad state of units. Most units start out this way. However some (protoss buildings without a pylon) don't.

Disable: Will disable the doodad state of units. Since most units don't start out this way, disabling is commonly used when people use the doodad state trigger. Most common effect this does is cloaking men or buildings. It has other effects on other units though, more explained later.

Toggle: This is just a general term. Basically, the unit you toggle is either disabled, or enabled. When you toggle it, it's just reversing it's state. So if you toggle an enabled Marine (all Marines start out like this) then you will disable it. But if you toggle a disabled Marine then he will become enabled.

To learn more about the effects of units when you disable them, refer to this file:

Ok. How about this. Disabling a right pit door in the middle of a game. What is the trigger that I use. Here is the trigger I am using:

Disable Doodad State for Right Pit Door for Player 3 at 'Door 02'

Player 3 is the player that is controlled by the human.

Hmm. As long as the pit door is in the location, it's controled by the right player, and it's not already disabled; then I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Try:
-Making the location bigger.
-Giving the player 1 custom score.
(you would need to have leader board for custom to check this)
If he doesn't have the score, then you know the trigger isn't running to begin with.
-Quadruple check the conditions (no, it's not excessive).
-Make sure no other triggers are affecting it indirectly.

Contact me on MSN or something if it still doesn't work and let me take a look at the map myself. Because I'll be able to find the problem a lot faster and solve it for you. And no, I don't steal other people's maps.
