I didn't vote. Why? There wasn't a option for "random" and "computer"

Most people seem to like being the mouse for the thrills, and cats as humans can sometimes end up with a frustrating game. I think it should be random and weighted, so that cats are kept in balance with mice. A lot of it depends on player skill, though, as a single good mouse player could hold up against 2 cats under the right conditions, so other factors for balacing might come into play.

On the other hand, I have played against 1 player who was a mouse. There were 5 other cats playing on against this guy. The only reason why he won, was because he blocked us using buildings that had at least 3 times the armor than are attack was.

An idea I had some time ago for a cat&mouse game was to rotate the cat and mice around, essentially like a game of tip.
The idea was that when a cat kills a mouse, or a mouse kills a cat, for the players to swap roles: the mouse becomes the cat and the cat becomes the mouse, and whoever did the killing got a point. Then players would have to be good at playing both cat and mouse, and most players should have a turn at being both.
Computer cats tend to be predictable and stupid.

Yes and no. It depends on the terrain and the AI script(s) that are used. I have played a cat verse mice where the cat was the computer. There were 3 cats, and it was so easy to win. I then changed the terrian to a different tileset, and then it was almost impossible to win.

Tend?? ...
I'd say random... Since most people will just leave the game if they see they HAVE to be cat. Would be a good idea to also swich IN game.

I think it should be random, but I also think the human players should have the option of selecting how many comps there are. Furthermore, I think it should be random for who is the flea (the zergling), and who is the mouse (the probe). I could do this through the use of randomized switches.
