In My Map i am "making" I was wondering if you can make Booms hurt people as in lets say a archon dies in front of a unit can it lose life? No % Wise life like - 50 life

No trigger does that sorri. Yes, and only percentages.

That's why you should use virtual HP, which is a system that uses for example, minerals as their HP. So if an archon explodes at that location, you can directly deduct that amount of minerals (life) you want the player to lose. (Because you can deduct minerals)

Or use another method by teleporting your unit instantly to a location and let a unit attack it then move it back. However, its hard getting the timing right and sometimes it may flaw a bit.

Yeah but you have to set your obsticals up differantly than you normally would. You actually have to detect weather or not the unit is there.

When I do that, I usually have another unit there attacking. Like in my Outpost War map, droping a certain unit from the shuttle caused a series of Dark archon explosions while lurks were under them attacking briefly.

Are you trying to say that if an Archon dies, like of regular causes...such as getting killed by a normal melee game..then..no.
Unless the map has under 256 units and you feel like triggering virtual HP for each one, and also making the triggers for each one.

Have fun? mellow.gif

Actually a better idea would be to just make a -(whatever) to the virtual health counter and not kill the unit, because the replacement will cause lots of lag and besides, if circumstances are right, you could have a chain reaction where it BOOM DIE RESPAWN BOOM DIE RESPAWN BOOM DIE RESPAWN BOOM DIE RESPAWN without time between the RESPAWN and the BOOM to move out of the way..

All this is if you are even using the virtual hp! cool1.gif
