I'm saying that, no offense, your grammer is horrible and that bad grammar within a map could result in failure of that map's success. Just work on your grammer and have someone spell check your maps.

First am speak french, am understand french, but am not american or english people and am use the translater, because I speak english little bit!

First and foremost, Mr. Axellraff, Fortune was not dissing your map. Hell, I bet he didn't even TEST the map.

Read in the ENGLISH dictionary the meaning of proofread.

Also, even if what Fortune posted aimed at dissing your map (as to what you may have interpreted, according to what I see in your posts), why the hell are you mad? Isn't it you who said opinions are important to you, good or BAD?

About the map (my review).
The map is very, very, very, VERY loosely based on the Battle of Mogadishu. Hell, Mogadishu is spelt as Mogadiscio for crying out loud. He just used Black Hawk Down, its characters for the mission, and the part where they rescue the downed pilot.

It's just a simple melee mission of Terran vs. Terran (with a twist). Units' names have been shamelessly left untampered. The full Terran tech tree is available to both sides. Objectives are only stated in the mission briefing, so if you decide to skip it, the map will leave it up to you to figure out what the hell you're supposed to do.


Conclusion: Quite a sad attempt considering the fact that its author bragged about his "3 years mapping experience".

I also speak french fluantly and yes... it is hard to speak out of a language translator (Im glad im bilingual) but... It wouldn't hurt to try harder?

Ok so a 5 years... that makes 2000 right? well im glad i was a beta tester (well actually my dad was, but I got to play often) I have been playing lot longer probably. I beta tested 1996 when the StarCraft looked more like Warcraft 2. And I miss the burneable trees (1997)

A few of you guys are mean. Offence or not, your posts are hurting him. If your going to criticize Axell's map, then at least put in a constructive form like the other members did. Staredit is about helping people, right?

Axellraff. I downloaded your confederate mission 1 month or so ago along with sodium_chloride. We both reviewed it. Sodium and I both agreed that while your english translation wasn't great, it was only a small blemish and took this into consideration.

I personally have sent you my thoughts on English as a second language and in your case possibly even your 3rd or 4th. I know how difficult it is to write in a foreign language, and I sympathized with you.

However, my advice is to find someone who can "help" you in this aspect w/ any of your future endeavors if you want to avoid this kind of frustration.

You will have no trouble finding "nice" and "co-operative" ppl who will be willing to help you if you approach them in a sensible way. If I needed help w/ a French edition of a particular map you too would be willing to help.

My point is... get someone to help you "proof" your text before you submit it, and if you can't find anyone, request help along w/ it's submission.

Anyway, I create my Starcraft Website last 3 three days, and only peoples is french, it's good to me!
Last one month I come to StarEdit Network and my first posting going to "Welcome Topic" And the first person speak to me is Minigameast, she very smart girl! She tell to me, my englisn not very important, and said to my english is better to other people, and one month past, all members kill him because " I have the poor english", is a shitt!!!!

Thats why! Because am a french canadian or Québéquois, its not acceptable to you! Me I call this a provocation and racist problem!!!!
