Use sound compresser. It is for windows. Here is a tutorial on how to compress it if you need help.

I never knew it was possible to compress sounds more than StarEdit actually lets you? Is it possible? So if it is, exactly how much could you compress a 100kb at highest quality? helpsmilie.gif

There are several different types. I would have to see the file to tell you (it could already be at the lowest quality possible without ruining the quality). But it would usually be around 16/22mhz at 31/43 kb/sec.

I turned a 6 megabyte file into 600kb.

Amazing =)

Just a tip for converting. If you dont mind poor sound quality (which usually isn't the case) use 8000 kHz, 16-bit, Mono (15 kb/sec). It will give you the most compression with the best-low quality. I always use that one.

Size of .wav: 45mb
Size of compressed .wav: 3mb
Size of map (including triggers): 1.05mb

Hooray for compression!
