So... how can I put this...

I got drunk (well not very drunk, but I had a few drinks), went on AIM and started hitting on this friend of mine who I have been secretly lusting after for quite some time now. Help.

EDIT: Also, she's technically a lesbian. Technically.
EDIT: And she used to have a little crush on me, so I can't tell if she took this in a "ew creepy" or a "aw cute" sort of way.

· I haven't gotten myself into anything... I mean, well, I don't know. I'm not sure if she's pissed off or freaked out or what.

· It means that I think she's way hot and have for a long time.

· That she's sort of bi, but leaning towards one side.

I'm not so sure that's a very good idea. She is my friend after all. If she isn't interested, asking her out could be full of not goodness...

ya really look at the poeple in the thread with thier pictures and the thread about what people do when they are home alone, like 80 percent of them say they play on the computer all day, even when parents aren't home. Heh. Chill, I was kinda in the same situation as you. Except That I wasn't drunk, but sleep deprived. And the girl in question isn't exactly bi....I think.

But anyways, it was late at night, around 4. On MSN, and me and her were chatting. Anyways, the subject drifted to "who do I have a crush on?". Oh, and while we were talking, I somehow managed to tell her I had a crush on her for sometime. So, what happens? Well, nothing much. We're still friends. I still talk to her occasionally. Heck, it got easier to talk to her after the initial ackwardness.

Anyways, it's probably nothing man. Don't worry too much.

You were drunk and thus you were acting differently. She is going to be expecting something different than how you are.

Do this:

Ask her if she liked what happened the other day when you was drunk. If she says yes, then go for it.

Is she a really good friend of yours? Because I always say a very good friend is always better than a girlfriend.

I was only acting different in that I told her I thought she was hot and stuff. Other than that I was myself.
I was thinking of waiting to see if she brings it up next time I see her, immediately begging to apologize if she does, and then acting based on how she reacts to that.
She is a much better friend than most, but not like my bestest buddy in the whole wide world.

Usually, telling a girl she's hot is a compliment and she would enjoy it... I dunno how she would get pissed.

First though, you have to decide on what you want. Friend, Friend + Lover, or just Lover . The only one who can make that decision is you.

Then, really, the only thing you can do now is play it as it comes, like you said. Test the waters, see if she brings it up, depending on her action -> react accordingly and factor in the decision above into it.
No reaction = probably doesn't care and you can continue on as normal.
Good reaction = flirt some more. You can't directly just ask a girl "hey, will you be my lover?" That question is usually asked without speaking.
Bad reaction = apolozie and poke fun at the situation... maybe you can make her think otherwise.

Anyways, I highly doubt your drinking made you magically tell her how you felt. I'm sure you knew full well what you were doing and just wanted to blame it on being drunk .

Well, it is better to tell a girl that she is pretty or beautiful because when you call a girl "hot", my friend (who is a girl) said that when you say that it sounds as if you only wnat to get into their pants. So she said it is better to say,
"You look pretty today!" She said t hat will go a lot farther than the other way!

Well, it also sounds more respectful or nice too. Telling a girl you think they're hot makes you sound kinda like you're thinking with your balls and not your head.

Yep... I learned later on why she slapped me ; she considered this an insult when I didn't mean it that way.

If this needs to be said and those of you can't figure it out for yourself then I really don't think any of you have a chance with a female. The only girl that wants to be called hot is one that you shouldn't want to be with. Any respectable female would take offense at that seeing it as about the same as calling her a whore. Pretty works, nice works, if you say beautiful you better be ready for a step up in the relationship.

Also-- I usually am specific when I compliment a girl, simply because it shows that I've noticed a change in the way she looks, subtly saying that I am interested if she chooses to take it that way. For example (this was online): "hey your hair looked nice today, did you have to spend a lot of time on it?" said when she wore her hair down and curly instead of in a ponytail or whatever is normal.

Can i ask something? why do you people come to SEN when you ahve a girl probleme? I mean cant you figure it out or do it on your own?
