Supposedly, Ghost was suppose to be released this Summer, and Starcraft II to be released around Christmas, it currently isn't looking that way (obviously) 
, but Eletronic Gaming Magazine did an Article about games that were delayed, and they said to look for more Info on Ghost soon....so Starcraft II shouldnt be far behind......

sc 2 will not be released until the end of blizzard or the end of blizzard. They said that after world of wc/d3 and some other games before they will even LOOK at the world of sc again

I don't think so... They inteviewed the Blizzard guy and he said they are going to make a Sc2... They also said that ghost is supposed to trail into Sc2 so Sc2 should follow soon after ghosts release.

If Sc2 comes out by the end of this year (Which it will, all yalls are nuts.) everyone will buy it, so I don't think anyone will worry about money.

They keep saying "It's gona come out" just to keep us SC people anticipating. They've been saying that for a while. I believe they'll only make it until SC semi-dies. SC is still making them money, so making SC 2 wont have as much impact and will just be a killer for the recent games they are working on or have released.

I have a feeling, that if it does actually "come out," that it will be a huge disappointment for all of us loyal mapmaking users or Broodwar.
I don't doubt that it will be like WC3 as opposed to WC2. I'm not saying WC3 was a disappointment, or a failure, but it was a huge change and was more than just a sequel—it was nearly a different game.
I just hope SC2 doesn't turn out that way.
