Staredit Network

This map started by just some terrain that I posted in the terrain forum, but then I though: "What about if I make this like a window, where you could see a section of a bigger map where players are fighting eachother?", and that's what a tried. I made a set of randomizing triggers, and I got a very interesting map, wich I could watch at it for hours.

The triggers are a bit crappy mostly because I made them with StarForge and I didnt comment them (I was too lazy to do so ), but I got a great result.

If anyone wants to look at it, the map is unprotected (its too crappy to protect it )

Anyway, I just wanted some opinions. Here is the map:

Hey I'm not sayin this map sucks or anything because it's pretty good but can you make a few more waste of time maps for when I'm waiting for something to update and I got nothing else to do?

OMG... I NEVER bash maps, and I wouldn't bash this one... except the high praise it seems to be getting from everyone else.

Praise to the WORTHY maps.
I know I know, it's meant to kill time, but it HAD NO POINT.
Just... units killing eachother...
At least make a PLOT or CHARS or something!
The music was ehh, but so freakin' repetitive I lost my mind after about 3 min.

I was expecting that from eveyrbody, but then people started saying that was a really good map and all that...

Also, that's the point of the map, have no point, so I think I accomplished by objective. Chars would convert it to an story-oriented map, I wanted to make it look as weird as possible, that's how I like them

Anyway, when I have more free time and I get another good piece of terrain I'll make the v2 of this map, with a better trigger system

Ya know I thought this could be like a screen saver... like other game ones( eg a doom screen saver) where random stuff appears but this is better because its auctually IN the game and the things interact with each other.

Get a videocapture device runing while te map plays and cut away the crap you don't want and import to flash to decrease file size and ma e ascreensaver out of it. Problem solved on how to convert this into a screen saver

First bug found on this version. When the BIG protoss force warps in, all the transports dont load their units. Fix please in ver2

I foudn the map very... how do I say... Bland...
Not much happened and I sat there reading a book and listening to
some music and nothing really happened but BC's flying by... Attacking
Turrets and Mutas...

I really didn't think it was all that great at all

2/10 for Complexity
8.5/10 for Originality (dont see many of these)
Total = 6/10

I don't get it.
It was a 5 second annoying wav being played over and over mind controlling me.
It was some terrain.
It was a map revealer.
It was some units killing each other?

Why is this map the best that some of you have seen?

Did it purposely have randoms? Why do i ask? Because i watched it twice and each time it was completely different...

I saw this a while ago, when you posted it. I thought it was amusing for a few minutes, but nothing great.

But what the hell, it's so pointless it's fun.

In the next version you need to make some extremely insane stuff happen on occasion, like a Command Center being infested by a Queen, or maybe rescuable units coming out of nowhere, or even an invincible Overlord that flies by and kills everything it touches. Now that's entertainment.

Actualy, I think I will make my own map based off of this. Normally, I try to avoid side-projects, because they usualy end up taking up my time, and crap, but this would actualy be something I could create quickly and not stop me from wanting to finish my other map.
