Staredit Network

Staredit Network -> Miscellaneous -> Take a screenshot, open in what?

helpsmilie.gif Ok here is how it goes:

1. Take a srceenshot in SC
2. It saves in directory starcraft is installed in a .pcx
3. Open in Paint
4. Message: C:\...Starcraft\Screen01.PCX Paint connot read this file. This is not a valid bitmap file, or its format is not currently supported.

Suggestions anyone? sad.gif

BTW open in anything else like microsoft picture and fax viewer etc wont work. blink.gif

Try dragging the file icon itself into the Paint window. I know Photoshop has the same problem, but dragging the file fixes that.

EDIT: Nevermind, I just tried it and got the same error. You'll have to download a program to view them then.

got to the download database and find the infranview download.

As far as I'am concerned, Paint can't read .PCX file's, You will need to download Photoshop to view those...But you will need to check all of the box's pnce you install photoshop, So it can support them.

Personally, for me, they open in 'Window Imaging Viewer' or something like that...

On my other computer( an old toshiba laptop running win 98/ ME in storage now) could easily read pcx's no prob but on my current one( packard bell pc running xp home service pack 2) nvm im just dling that program now ill see if it works. Thx
