I'm working around Anti-MapHack and Don't really like half of the tutorialz offered on this site as of now. I understand that you can make people crash by making them look at a certain spot. But I know theres a way to make people crash only when they see something they shouldn't. For example I can use Snipers Bald Lock. That map provides the ultimate protection.


I had some Ideas and whondered if anyone knew how to accomplish them. Heres a list:

1. Make a disabled Arbitor Cloaked. Any idea on how to do this without a trigger?
2. Is there a way to make a Disabled Arbitor(or other crashing unit) appear for only a few seconds then dis-appearing(No triggers please)
3. Is there a way to show *crashing units* only upon improper vision?

I know for a fact that when I start a game of Snipers with Hacks off and try to start hacking half way through i still crash. And I don't crash when I just walk by the units either. This means there must be a way to do it, Anyone have an Idea?

A map like snipers bald has the unit "Independente command center" placed all over the map in high ground where you can't ever see it.

1. A disabled Arbitor would be cloaked.
2. No. With triggers you can center view on it.
3. Just place them where people cant normally have vision (like high ground in a snipers map).

Why don't you want to use triggers? It's really the only way to get anything DONE is StarCraft. If you don't use triggers, go to the melee forums. smile.gif

and how would you move anything you dont control without triggers anyway? the only way i see of moving at least one unit is to burrow/ unburrow near it forcing it to move, but this wouldnt work on air units. so how exaclty were you planning on making an invsible aribotr appear/ disappear?

I can use triggers I just thought there might be some way to change things without using triggers.

Is there a way to Burrow a P12 Sprite upon start without a trigger maybe?

I might have an Idea... Checking it out now post any thoughts anyway

Yeah, place the unit that CAN burrow in sprite - unit mode. Then in the game just burrow it. That used no triggers smile.gif. Be sure to enable burrowing in the first place.

wallbash.gif I sorta meant a player 12 type of Idea... Is there a sprite for a burrowed Lurker ?

No, the pictures for burrowed units are stored at the same *.GRP as the unit itself and since you're only allowed to place the first sprite per *.GRP you won't be able to put burrowed lurkers (or any other burrowed graphic).
