Hi guys, after making my Anti-Maphack melee map I decided on a new project that will introduce a 3way Balance for all 3 races. I'm hoping I could get some feedback as to what advantages I should Add.

I have my mind set to add stuff that protoss can Mind Control some random things which I will be placing on a few small Islands throughout the map

I have Ideas for zerg such as Starting creep at some random Choke Points in the map making the zerg a even more rushable force =S

I Terran is something I'm not sure about. Should I add Nuke symbols at strategic spots, Make a few Stacked geysers really close to the Terran CC, or do something else?

Any feedback is always nice, I'll be starting to work on it in a few days once I recieve enough Ideas

WTF does this have to do with Melee?
Melee = The original way to play the game. No UMS, no modifications, just plain ISOM terrain.

Starting creep doesn't really do anything.

Marking Zerg better at rushing will only inbalance the game even more.

Why would you add Nuke dots around the map? It's a waste of sprites and it won't do anything. Putting stacked geysers near the CC will only make it easier for Terrans to mass Factory/Starport units.

I say this won't be a good idea.

I think that he meant making a map for play on melee, not a UMS. Also, melee maps can have non-ISOM terrain. So I think that it should go in melee too... so.. oh well... I wont undo what a mod did.,

Also, you cant place units here and there and expect them to show up in melee. Only resources and sprites show up.

Thats pretty much what I meant...

He wanted to alter melee.
So this means that techniaclly he is playing UMS Altered Melee, since he will be altering so much things that can only be done with UMS.

it was possible to add player 12 units in melee pre 1.12 i believe but yo can no longer place player 12 controlled units and have them remain on map unless they are resources.

-The terran Nuke dots & stacked Geysers are a way to Re-Balance the zerg advantage into a terran type of advantage
-Sprites are still placable Because I have maps with sprites almost everywhere.

-Yes your right It is a melee Idea not a UMS idea

-its almost obvious to me that you don't try-before u judge. Everything stated in this post is being done with Melee No UMS triggers and such will be added hense the game will be FULL PLAYABLE in melee with all stated feats

I'd like to add a final note, I came to these forums and read the slogan expecting to find a bunch of cool people willing to support/Make new Ideas for the starcraft community, Instead I find a big majority of people who Will judge without knowledge. It is very disappointing.

Zerg can't build on the creep tile... I tried making a map that all players were zerg and the only terrain was the creep tile, but it didn't work, the creep that you can build on went on top of it, and I don't think it extended as far as it normally would have.

What does the little red dot do to balance anything? Is it just to make the other player scared and back off, until they realize it's only sprites?

Is it an island map?

Most people that I know don't get Dark Archons to be able to Mind Control all the things, if they are hero units, then I think some one might go out of their way and make some Dark Archons

I think that's it for now, if I think of anything else I'll probably post it.

-Feel free to PM legendary)MiMiC to see a map With starting creep... You fail to see 1 point that is the main reason you can't do it. It also takes more effort then what you are taking.

-I personnaly don't get them BUT If there drones for the 2 other races AND a few well-powered heros it would do alot.

-Nuke dots would be a small advantage You miss the point that if placed propely you could nuke without knowledge of where the ghost may be.ALSO thats why I added the stacked gas thing because It would re-balance that smaller less popular advantage.
