I dont think this will ever! happend but its a thought .I've heard of a new diablo coming out soon and i was wondering if this was a total fake Rumor or Straight up Real.Will thier ever be a diablo 3 or will blizzard just leave it at Diablo II Lord of Destruction?

Back on the subject, I hope it does come out. Diablo II and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction was pretty good. Only bad thing is nothing new on Diablo II anymore..

I heard about D3 on a couple different forums I was browsing, but I never heard that Blizzard said anything about it.

I would like to see a D3 though, with new quests and stuff made with updates.

If they're going to make a Diablo 3, it's going to have to be completely different. They wouldn't just be able to get away with adding and enhancing, and they're not stupid enough to rip off World of Warcraft either. I'd imagine they would take their sweet time revolutionizing the whole game system.

I would believe anyone that said Blizzard will make it in the future.

Anyways, when/if they it, I would like it if they had an item creation system.
As in, every level you get, you get, say, 5 'Item Points', which can be spent on making your own items and crap, but have some kind of other requirement, like needing special 'Formable Items' that are like normal items, but really rare, and you can use the points on, so that making uber items isn't too easy.

Of course, this is just my wishing, but oh well...

I hope it isn't pay to play like WoW.

ya d3 is being made, only its called guild wars and its not by blizzard (however alot of the guys how made d2 and sc did make it). i have preordered it and played in a beta weekend.. i give it a 10/10 best rpg expereince i have ever had. way better than ff11 not even factoring in the $15/month. and wowc is probably as good.. havn't played it.. but that costs money also.

Guild Wars is coming out on the 22nd of this month.

That's something I'm sure to get. Free MMORPG that is unique and doesn't follow the "OMG MY SWORD OF THAG PWNZ YOU", sort of gameplay that focuses on item whoring instead of playing skill (cough, cough, d2).

hey d2 may have been completely item dominant, but hardcore gave me a nice gaming rush from time to time, and it made the biggest leap yet in multiplayer rpgs with its well maintained economy (until the pindel bots and duping began anyway). d2, i salute you.

Well, Diablo 1 really did start it so a prequel would have to be like the rise of Diablo which would be pointless because Diablo would have to win...

Or maybe Tyrael destroyed the Worldstone so he could have nothing standing in his way of ultimate power?

But on the subject, Blizzard wouldn't even bother starting Diablo 3 until WoW and (If SC:Ghost is released) starts to decrease in sales. WoW is racking in millions of dollars monthly, and Blizzard would hate to ruin that with some half-arse idea.

Warcraft 2 and diablo came before starcraft and brood war isnt SC2... don't replace spaces with periods, if it is vitally important you post with a broken keyboard TalkLikeThisYouIdiot.

True, Brood war isnt SC2, but I wasnt referring to the titles, I was talking about the games of that particular series; Starcraft, and then Starcraft Ghost; Thus the next game would be "sc3", the third starcraft game released. However, I DO stand corrected on the Blizzard game release timeline. Thanks.





On a side note, It seems to me that typing with periods replacing spaces instead of TypingfLikeThis would be slightly easier to read. Just a TAD bit more coherent, eh? And you could have very easily suggested otherwise without insulting me or my intelligence. Nor do I think it is "vitally important."

the game will not come very soon, they dont even know wen ladder is gonna restart. they don have a date. How will they start on d3 wen the prequel is still running, where people still play for a looong time..

Guild Wars is NOT Diablo 3. Guild Wars and the Diablo series are two completely different things. And Diablo 3 isn't going to be made. Blizzard fired the people who created Diablo 2, and those people who were fired went on to establish a new company, and that company made Guild Wars. If you want a Diablo 3, then it wouldn't be coming from Blizzard, it would be coming from the company who made Guild Wars, but doing so would provoke lawsuits from Blizzard because Blizzard owns the Diablo series.

So there you have it.

Well, in the original Diablo, Diablo made the hero stick his soulstone in his head like a dumb ***, so I guess he kinda won, since because of that he freed his brothers-ish. Maybe it could happen again? And does the world really end after D2:LoD? I just beat it (again) but accidently skipped the end cinematic.
