i was playing Rebuilding of Eora recently, and i was the top slot on the first force, the name of the slot escapes me at the moment. and i had my two allys, and we were verseing the two 2nd force people, well i was charged with defeating one while my allies handled another, my opponent whats sheltered in a mountianous area in which the only way in was throught a cave area, and once my troops got throught the cave area, they were greated by the resounding firing of 20 photon cannons. needless to say my troops were slaughtered, and by the end of 15 attacks, i had only mananged to set on cannon on fire. i was livid, my troops were fully upgraded, but they couldn't survive, he had surrounded the place where my guys spawned into his base with cannons. problem was, i couldn't send any troops via dropships over the walls into his base, anything that was airbone that tried to go over was moved to another location. so i had a plan, i was starting to get siege tanks so i took them, some units to protect them, and my obsever and moved to the edge of his wall, moving the obesever close enough so i could see his cannons, and i had my tanks open fire on his cannons, siege mode of course, soon i had one flank of cannos cleared out and i sent my troops back in with additional siege tanks, and i quickly cleared out the other side. thats when the insults started to fly. both enemy players accused me of being "gay" and "cheap" but when i said howelse could i get in one responded "pure force" which wasn't working. the cannons did 225 per hit, and the max weapon/armor ups was 10, plasama sheilds 20, my soldiers were dead before they could even strach one. once i has finshed my siege, they both left. apparently my ally had defeated the other player's wraith hero, and that pissed him off because every time he sent his wraith out, my ally would aim for it, until it was killed. but anyways, my questsion for you people is, was my tatic cheap, for justified?
Their startegy is just about one of the lamest ones I've ever seen in a game, and I think your counter was justified, and not even nearly as lame.
thank you all for your inputs, i'm glad you guys see the same way i do, it's just that i've done some cheap things in the past, and i'm trying not to be cheap anymore.
