Info: 1v1 Jungle 64x64
3 expansions for each player, one with 4 minerals, one with 6 (natural) and one with 5 (has gas).

Here is another map I finished working on. I have to be honest, i worked on it in one day, it took me about an hour.

It's a pretty god map, it's balanced racewise and playerwise. I'd have to say I like the concept of head-on battle where you only got 1 land route to your opponent. I also like the 4 cliffs that you placed in a great location to offer great strategy.

What I don't like is that you put way to many expansions for a 4 player map. I mean, come on a 2 player 64x64 map with 4 resourse points for each player is quite a lot. I'd suggest eliminating the 2 resource patches next to the cliff right next to both mains since they are so close.

It looks pretty cool, but I'm not really a fan of small maps =/. If a Terran play can manage to protect his factorie long enough to lift it off and put it on the cliff that overlooks the enemy I think it's pretty much GG. Even if they just lifted it off from their main to their cliff it still means the only path to the enemy is seiged. I don't know... test it out and see how it goes.

Templar, that is a good point, but nearly every map has its flaws. And I cannot see a way to fix that without changing the map entirely.

I thought i was a bit much also, but if I take it out it seems like too little, maybe I should add one more patch to the expansions by the water and take out the ones by the cliff?

Anbody else have any suggestions before i redo the map?

I've no problem with the number of resources, cause they will never be used. the games are going to be very short on this map.

Yes pope, i agree. Wh ocares if there are extra resources? They may be used, they probably wont but why take them out? Besides, it would get a bit hard for zerg if i took them out. Because if for some reason the game dragged on then Zerg would need those.

Seems like a good potential rushing map. I can see a lot of angry customers though for that reason.

Otherwise, I like it a lot and I'm going to dl it later and give it a try.

I like the thing so much. it also not only good for rushing, but u can rip off the other player by putting defense in the middle (best would b seige tanx). So they go to attack u early in da game, or even rally their troops and KABOOM!!! i like it!!! happy.gif

I tried to block off the edges so it would be harder for terran to take control of them.

Anywho, I would like something to improve, it doesn't feel done.

BTW, could someone give me a 1-10 score?

ive never rated anything a 10 in my life cause that means its perfect and nothing is.

and 9 means ill play it like mad and

8 means its aweosme and

7 means its great and

6 means its okay and

5 means no....


so ill say an 8!

You could make unbuildable ground on the bottem left, and top right so Terran would take a long time to move their fac there.

I mean next to the cliff. If he put unbuildable terrain there Terran wouldn't be able to lift his fac as easily to build a machine shop on the cliff over looking the enemy and shoot the shit out of it with seige tanks. But that's theory crafting, so it may not be entirly accurate.

Ya it pretty much screams RUSH, but there's a lot more strategy to this one than a lot of small maps.

Maybe the extra resources at main may seem a bit much. Possibly Zerg get the benefit of a free "expo" w/ their 2nd "military" hatchery. I don't think it really effects game tho. Since rushing will be main theme, I think it's kinda nice to be able to turtle a bit if you get in trouble. Kinda like blood bath has the extra mins in its base. If game does last more than 20 minutes, these mins might even save your butt.

This map is definitely now in my 1v1 map folder.
