I hope there is! There games are starting to get pretty good...
STARTING to get good? They were good since Metal Gear 1. And yes, there will be another Metal Gear Solid game, but it won't be made by Kojima.
Just wondering, anyone know what role Kojima played in the making of MGS3? Was he still the director/producer? Or fading off into just a general overseer?
He was the same role as MGS 2. Personally, I want it to stop. The characters are starting to get worse than those RPGs that no ones heard of. I mean come on! AN OLD MAN, A GUY THAT CRIES, AND A PYRO???!?!?! MGS 1 was better because it actually made sense.... Shoulda stopped it at 2 but I guess 3 cleared up some story, like why Big Boss is Big Boss.

The old man was called The End, he saved his life energy for when he needs to use it. And he chose to use it so he can snipe out snake. And I don't recall a guy crying. But if you mean The Sorrow, he doesn't cry. He's been dead for a while. And he came in snake's dream. And the pyro guy, his name is The Fury. He went through some things, and he's trying to get revenge. And apparently he tries to take it out on snake, using a jet pack and a flame thrower. These guys are from the cobra unit. A bunch of soldiers, different soldiers, with different abilities. And I think they should make a MGS 4, the sequel to MGS 2. I want to see what happens after it.
If they do make new ones, I'd like to see them recreate the original Metal Gear games. Like Metal Gear 2 -- imagine how great Zanzibar would look on the next-gen consoles.
Wasnt Zanzibar the ninja? In MGS1, he was my favorite unit. I was about 9 or so when it came out and me and my cousins would play it. I would be the Ninja, my cuz would be Raven, my female cuz was ... whats her face ... This will bug me, the sniper or w/e.
ANYWAY---
I personally thought that Snake Eater had the best plot. I COULDN'T STAND THE FACT THAT BIG BOSS CONVERTED!!! God that bugged me.
ADDITION:
I have a qestion***
On MGS3, I read somewhere that this was in the 60's or something. Does that mean in the end of metal gear solid 1, when Liquid was going on for hours about 'Big Boss' he was talking about the 'Snake' in MGS3? (at end, snake is awarded 'Big Boss')
Puff, u make me angry. I got MGS2 a couple of years ago and MGS3 in Nov. I just got MGS1 for christmas.... awesome! The story is
It starts with MGS3. Snake becomes the 'Big Boss' by defeating his ...'mentor?' -The Boss
Snake then travels to Alaska. He gets cloned and 3 more snakes arrive.
Solid Snake (a clone) ends up killing the real snake cause he turns bad! (In Zanzibar) (The Metal gear Series) Then Solid Snake goes thru MGS1 then 2!
MGS goes really... 'deep' i should say...
And yes, the next MGS will not be made by kojami or however u spell it!

The guy already retired from MGS.... what a lozer! anyway i love MGS as u can see (look to the left)
"An undying shadow in the world of lights" -Deepthroat (actually, he has a whole speech, thats just a part, but i need to review the game in order to say it fully and i g2g right now... (i gott stuck in the part so i prarically memorized it)
WOW...
Thats what I figured... just wasn't sure, really.
I also have MGS1 VR Missions and i wanted to get the Sons Of Liberty one also... just never had the $$$.
Is it true you can s8board in it????
VR missions was kinda cool, you got to be 'Deep Throat'
In #1, who thought that the Master guy was actually Liquid?
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance is what you're thinking about. Yeah it has this skateboarding thing in it, and other extras. It's just a minigame though... It's not much different from MGS2: Sons of Liberty.
For clarification, Zanzibar was the secret base that Metal Gear 2 (for NES) took place in. It was where Snake fought Gray Fox (or whatever that guy's name was) who, apparently, turned into the Cyber Ninja.
His name is Hideo Kojima. He used to be thought of as a loser, but he had really good ideas like: Instead of goin in and shoot, u avoid enemies with stealth.
I just hope that David Hayter (Voice of Snake) stays on the wagon. And I hope that the new developers give the sieres justice. I hope they stick to the odd plot, odd characters and stealthy gameplay. And yes, I want MGS 4 to be sequal of MGS2...I mean what else would it be. I'm not totally destroyed because Kojima left Metal Gear because he has made some other AMAZING games. Zone of the Enders and Zone of the Enders: The Second Runner are some of my favorite games and both were made by Kojima.
Kojami or wtever left MGS for his queer Yugioh games! (they have links to yugioh on MGS.com!)
but anyway, kojami says that the next one (even though he aint doin it) will be a sequel to Sons of Liberty. or something...

If someone makes something, then leaves it, that doesn't make them a bad person, it's like saying someone made the best game in the world, then everyone thinks he is the worst game producer because he isn't making a sequel. Or you can throw in the whole Yoshi situation also.
Is it coming out for PS3? Cuz I wanna get PS3 then...
from my link, Neiji. First paragraph, last sentence

March 3, 2005 - While the existence of Metal Gear Solid 4 was confirmed last year in a conference call a recent press event in Germany provided a few new details. The new team of people working on the game has been announced with Hideo Kojima now taking on a less hands-on role. This new game will be a departure from the series as the first three games comprised a trilogy and this will be a new beginning on a next-generation console.
Anyone bothered by the name "deep throat"?

I love the Metal Gear games, but I think they shouldn't touch it without Kojima.
They are making Metal Gear Solid 4 with Kojimba, just that Kojima is an executive producer now

Also, most loose ends in the MGS series have been already been tied thanks to SE; where can the story go?
If you clicked the link i posted and read the page you would know, wait its in first paragraph...
