I was really into Warcraft 2 and one day this kid at school told me about a game like that but in space with all these aliens and tanks and stuff. I was like OMFG and i got him to burn me a copy. I've been addicted ever since =D. That was probably like 4 and a half years ago.

I was in the Philippines in 1999, in a city next to my mom's home town. They played StarCraft in all the Internet cafés there (plus Quake III and others). Some people taught me how to play, and that was my first LAN game experience. A few months later I found out my sister's friend had the SC original CD, and soon after I got Brood War from someone else. So I've been playing StarCraft (...on and off...) ever since.

I've been playing since about 1998 or 1999. I was at school and I think Scypher or someone showed me the demo and we played it every day over the school's LAN line. I finally bough it (back when it was like $40 rather than $5... disgust.gif ) and I've been playing ever since.

I started in....1998? I think it was. I then quit for a while due to school and such. I recently started playing again in 2003. So....for about three years you can say.

My very first time playing was 6 years ago in a mini-computer class. Teacher wasn't around for a couple of weeks, so we just played games.

I happened to try StarCraft someday, just like that. It was cool. But I didn't even know I was playing SC at that time.

1 or 2 year(s) later, my brother got a burned copy of SC from his friend, and I got initiated to online gamming (I didn't even know what "lag" meant). Couldn't play much online, though, since we had restricted internet access. Later on we got unlimited connection, so I started going online.

6 months after, I had the SC battle chest under the x-mas tree happy.gif

i playd for around 2 years only.

though lately, frankly, im really getting pissed at the rigged (not to mention, G.a.Y maps) all over. it took me around 30 minutes to find a decent game and then i found out that the host lagged.

plus i was playing hero arena and everyone was teamnig on me.(ffa...omg). sigh what a bad day, i wish these days were liek the days 2 years ago, almost no rigegd maps(i didnt see a rigged stacked cannon that time, or did I?)

I wish it were back in the old days too, of LiZard and X'Ds, those were sweet times. Just join PGT or WGT now. You can find lots of good games.

I played it when it first came out, played all the single player campaigns, etc. But I never got into bnet because I had no internet connection. Fast forward to 2001, my friends re-introduce me to the game and I find out there is an expansion to it. I get addicted all over again. (previously addicted to wc2, before that wc1 .. yeah smile.gif)

We had about four computer in the IVGID (Incline Village something something something) place...aka the Rec Center. Anyways, I saw people playing while checking my mail. Thought it was a bit dumb, actually. Turns out we've had it for about a year...my brother was playing it. I watched him make a map or two (None worth mentioning, melee maps tongue.gif)...and I got pulled into map making. Only played about 3 missions of the single player at first...then eventually the whole thing.

Around 2001 or 2002, we got an internet connection I could use. So I played on Battle.net a bit, making a few (Really bad blushing.gif) maps...and I found BattleForums. I came accross this site (I remember this really well), sumbitted a bad tutorial, forgot about it. This was SEN v1. Then I got into Mapmaking more, played a bit...found the TSE link in Heimdal's signature. By this time I could make decent maps. Posted (Um, spammed the living hell out of) there for a little bit. Talked to Heimdal, Nozomu, and all them.

Then TSE died. I went back to playing maps...then I played...(Oh no!) Heaven Bound. So I got into bounding. This is where I met all the "Big famous map makers." I got a lot of them as my friends. Somewhere along the line I met donwano, who introduced me to Tux and Moogle. Hehe wink.gif. Also, somewhere, I met Yoshi. Yeah, at TSE. I remember him telling me how cool SEN v2 is going to be. So when it arrived, I posted a little, then I forgot about it sad.gif.

I posted a bit (Uh, like 4 posts) at the TSE revival forums. Then there was a link here from it. I didn't register...because...I dunno, this was during the blueish layout (SEN v3). Pretty intresting stuff...but I'm sticking to battle forums biggrin.gif. All of a sudden BattleForums isn't fun. I don't remember why. More and more I see this site come up...

So here I am. This is semi-chronological tongue.gif.

Not like anyone really reads these sappy stoies but here's mine.

Like a long time ago my best friand Aaron A introduced me to Warcraft 2. (he had to go though DOS to run it) Several other friends and I played Warcraft 2 over modem for a few years. Later when Starcraft came out i remember seeing my friend up the streat playing it. I always wanted the game but our family computer couldn't run it. So i waited for like 2 years or something until our family finnaly got a computer that could run Starcraft (there still using the same one). So yeah after we got our new computer I got starcraft lol.

I played the demo on my brother's computer, but then he left for college. So then, I had to wait till my family upgraded their mac so I could play it. ><
I didn't do map making right away, I played a lot of melee then I realized there was a UMS option that you could filter out =D

I was in (U) 3 weeks after I started map making... I got lucky.

My mom bought it.
My brother played it.
When he finally stopped, hours later, I played it.
I played campaign with cheats, over and over and over.
In 2002, or so, when I was 11, I decided to try Battle.net. Look at me now.

My friend introduced me to WarCraft, but I never got a copy, then my mother (who still bought me games back then) got it. I was hooked

Then I got the "battle chest" pack and I loved the expansion just as much.

Then came WCIII...
