Nobody really uses CWADs. You should take the edited file and stick them in a .MPQ file. If you want to use a CWAD, I believe you have to run it through StarDraft.

CWADs don't run on version 1.10 of starcraft. You can go to http://www.starcraft.org/customs/tutorials...ntroduction.asp for tutorial on creating a basic mod using MPQs.

Yes, I can do it all for you. And as everybody has said, don't use CWAD, but instead use MPQs. And I think MPQs run on all versions of StarCraft, not just a specific version like CWADs.

I've done a tad of modding here and there, but unless you have all the spirtes in .grp file, I can't help you much. I've always messed up on that part.

Alright well i got all the tools last night and was fiddling around with it for a hour or so. I did a few patches of editing units and weapons and all went well. There are still a few things i havent figured out like how to change the unit displayed on the units interface (Were the damage shows). And the sound of the character and stuff like that. But im sure with enough practice ill figure it all out.

Besides on the RPG series im working on now i think using modifacations on my map would just complicate things to much so im going to hold off for this map and just poor my heart into making is sweet. Then ill work on something and ahve fun being creative with modidying things a bit.

I've been in the modding business before; and beyond having fun, it is very difficult. I gather you've got most of the programs? Do you have a list of what you downloaded?

I find anything to do with Starcraft Modding at four websites.
Star Alliance
Soveriegn Modding Empire
Campaign Creations
Shadow Flares' Realm
You can find every program you need to edit and Mod starcraft with now, as well as a couple of tutorials.
Stormcoast Fortress
This website has a basic tutorial as well; try it out.

The basic tools for a complete Mod are; Arsenal Zero or III, Ice CC, StarGraft, WinMPQ, MPQDraft and other tools such as SCAiEdit II for the Ai.

The first three are for the units themselves and the fourth is the program you use to make your MPQ, which is much better than a CWAD. The fifth is the tool used to open the MPQ and run it or create a final file for use. You asked about adding sound, that simply requires a ready made '.wav' file and the right extension in WinMPQ, which is done when adding the file; you'll get the hang of it. Just ask around those websites for advice and help on problems or errors you get.

Remember that Starcraft uses only the names shown, and so you must rename your files to take the places of these files, else they won't and the existing ones will still be running normally. Also watch you file size it will skyrocket with many sound files, very quickly. Good luck with your Modding.

Cool, now i just have to figure out how to create new units or to change existing units into something diffrent (which is probably the only thing i can do). I tried turning a BC into a Hero Marine.. which worked the only problem was the voice and the damage picture (the green picture that turns yellow and red due to damage) it was still a picture of a BC. Other then that it worked flawlessly. Any idea how the picture can be changed?

That requires the StarGraft to be changed

You'll have use Arredit or Arsenal Zero to change the voices and to change a wireframe you can look at this tutorial http://www.samods.com/index.php?cmd=article&aid=51
