i use 2. i dont think i ever made an map with one computer.
I only have SC on 1 computer, so I don't see any reason to do anything StarCraft related on a computer without SC.
He means when making a map, how many (not much
) computers do you use.
Ah, I misunderstood that... Did I get it right this time?
I usualy use Player 7 and Player 8 as computers.
Nope! Not asking for which players but how many computers you usually use in your maps. But there really is no point for this topic...pretty pointless.
Usually have 2 computer opponents in the maps I make...
If I didn't get it right this time, I'm not trying anymore.
I use 2 computers. The most common players I use for comps are player 7 and player 8, the other player slots, I'll use them for some specif maps, Like for Zombie maps. I'll use player 1 for the zombies.
THe most I comps I have ever used for a map are 4 (players 4-8). If I wanted to, I could of used 2 comps instead of 4.
In most cases, I will use player 7 and 8 for comps. In about half of my maps, I only use player 8.
I use however many computers I feel I need.
oh wow, chuiu.
lol, that wasnt very descirptive.
but i was just posting this so i could get an idea how much comps to use.
7 and 8 seems liek everyone uses(inclduing me).
cause usually, i dont know if people will like more than 1 or 2 comps in a game.
well i use about 1.
is it possible to use players that are not 1-8, can they be used as computers to by making them triggers.
Use only what is needed. In Fate & Destiny, 3 computers and 1 neutral player exist: One that's always allied with the players, one that's almost always an enemy, the neutral one, and one that varies.

um... it depends on the map, but for UMS i use 1 comp for display case... but it depends on map.
2 cups of Player 7 + 8 and half a pint of Player 12.
He asked how much...
I only use my one computer to make maps. I make the map, do the testing, and everything else on it, its owned by Me.
I'm like losing IQ points or something as we speak.
I have 7 computer in my most recent maps, due to alliance, vision, giving units (plot) and death counter purposes.
Two comps just because I'm too lazy to make everything owned by one comp.
2 bcuz incase one computer has a virus and only for the internet so I won't get my maps messed up when its upon at the other computer which is offline
EDIT: Oh starcraft maps... okay... I use any
It all depends on what kind of map I what to make....
Like an RPG
-I use 3 Cpu's... 1 for the town guards, 1 for Bosses and 1 for enemies
Like a bound
-1 computer for thoses traps!
Or a defence
-Depends... mostly 2 for enemies (on left and right)
In the RPG you can use one for enemies and bosses since they aren't allied.
In defense you only need one really...
I use the least necesary computers.
In my secret project I'm using 4 becasue of the damned AI Scripts.
2 are allied and 2 are enemy.
1 attacks and 1 defends.
There is always one computer attacking although I could make it into one easily, one I start finishing up the random missions and events, I'll need the two for AI Script purposes.
Just one computer and like 3 monitors thank you very much ^_^

That's the best answer yet! I wanted to add something funny as I was reading this topic. Unfortunately when I got to this second page... I don't think there's any topping that one! Ok sorry to poke fun at your topic... just question seems a bit odd.
in my house hold only two computers are running at once through a d-link router. However we have around 10 computers in our house. I keep crashing my computers so that really doesn't help anything...
No, im not rich....not now but back in the day i was
.
He means how many computers you use in your maps.
One neutral (usually player 2) and Computer (Player 8)
I usually have three computers. One enemy force, one allied force, and one force that's just there for trigger purposes if I need another computer player.
