My main criticim of halo 2 is the color scheme. I think that they used to bright of hews for the new game. I liked the darker colors of the old one, I also liked the larger blood gultech aloung with it's bunker over the new cougalation bunker/ size. the soundtrack i also believe isn't as good as the first games sound track. they really should have taken more time in the game....

Also the sword is very stupid in my opinion and is way too powerful.

Most of the stuff is true. I don't think the energy sword is too strong. You need to be able to get up to the enemy before you can kill them so no range equals out with powerful attack.

If this is true, then I only have one word to say: "finally".

what is interesting with the sword it is that it is necessary to attack either by surprise or by avoiding the balls. its power is larger than the weapons conventional of the game because the challenge is to go to the adversary and who know this is hard

I dont like one thing... The Xbox live is overun wiht high pitched 8 yearold people...

I was in an assault game on ivory tower and my team of 3 8yearolds decided to rush the attacking spawn to stop them... I knew better and stayed back at our spawn... Sure enough I hear one of them say

"They arn't here I wonder where they are"

Seconds later I kill 2 and get raped by an energy sword and then When i respawn I start flaming at them (Really I Did... I Think I Herd One Cry...) and then I started lecturing them on how this isn't and EVERYONE rated game and then one of them said Im 21!!!... I was kinda Like... "Um ya... And Im 168..."

It was very anoying and confusing at how many little kids are on a Mature Rated Video game...

Actually, i think come color schemings are too dark in some areas, namely some campaign ones. Like a couple or more of those missions are crazily dark and almost impossible to see.

And no, the sword isn't all that powerful. Shotguns are just as lethal when also close range. Besides, if you see someone with a sword from far away, just shoot em and run away backwards at the same time and you'll be fine. With shotguns, most people wouldn't do that because they wouldn't know whether you have one or not.


Swords are best for small levels or surprise attacks. If you go walking around with ur sword out, sometimes people can see you and just fire away at you from a safe distance.


I know, it's unbelievable how many high pitched kids there are on xbox live. And thing is, they're loud, VERY loud. The deep voiced people talk in normal (or sometimes quiet) voices whereas the high pitched ones seem like they're literally screaming.

Yea, i would expect all those little kids to be playing nintendo products like Gameboy DS or gamecube

It's not that hard for kids younger than 10 years old to get their hands on games that are rated A (adult). They could get some random stranger to buy the game for them, and in return, this person gets something (such as money).


Translation: Once you beat it you won't want to play it. I have the game, so I should know. (Was that translation correct?) Here is a hint, killer, take the time to make your post readable and understandable. Don't be surprised when your post is ignored because of this.

1. Halo 2 Singleplayer: Short and shit.
2. Halo 2 Offline Multiplayer: No bots = boring.
3. Halo 2 LAN: Rare, but fun.
4. Halo 2 Online: Costly, but golden.

Singleplayer > Multi Offline > LAN > Multi Online

Buy it if you have, or will have:

- Xbox Live
- lots of buddies with their own Xbox + Halo 2 (I'm talking 8+ people)

If you both of these situations don't apply to you, you are better off with Halo 1.

You kidding? If there's a steady stream of different people playing, even one 4-player multiplayer ongoing game can become golden. But I guess the only place you'd find that would be in a college dorm. I should know, I waste probably an hour a day on it. The best part of the game is that every weapon has its uses, and I never feel helpless with any particular weapon. In Halo 1, a needler meant a death sentence if you were fighting anyone with any other weapons. But now it becomes a surprise attack tool. I don't even feel helpess with an empty rocket launcher because even a side hit melee is a one-hit kill. And then there's the best part of the game - the sniping.

Pistol got nerfed like a homo.

Ya... that is because it was the best weapon. It had good sniping, 6 or 7 hit kill, and high ammo.

Pistols are still good somewhat in halo2. Especially when u dual wield em

dual magnums protecting the flag in capture the flag OWNS or a magnum and one of those charged up pistol things dualed = ownage!!!!

Halo 2 = 9.5/10 would be 10/10 if it werent for single player

Single player is good but too easy in somecases like on beginner you can run through levels with out shooting anything ..plus not such a great ending

Online = AWESOME x box live is one of the best things that happend to video games (not so expensive as someone else said)

Multiplayer = what the hell were you talking about no bots is stupid?? who plays bots?? Bots= gay .... get some real friends and play them or play on live


Also a thing about how you hate 9 year olds playing halo 2 online. Well it's not annoying unless they scream then it's annoying. Someone said they were going to report me to xbox live for being 14 and unsupervised and to young to play the game!!?? I just said whatever go ahead and do it like i give a shit.


Also they did take a long time to make it. The release date was delayed A LONG TIME!!!

lets say u play in a game like you suggested.... with all the screaming 10 year olds... now lets say you have 2 people who are actually good/ not annoying 10 year olds... now give one of them the sword... who can kill the annoying 10 year old faster? the one who shoots them or the one who runs up to them with the sword and kills em in one hit... now keep in mind it's a common nown fact that screaming 10 year olds cant shoot.... the sword wins every time becuase that balance of charging a ranged person is not preserved, meaning that the sword is the ultimate newb weapon/ newb killer....

Lastly, a comment about swords:
If you carry a shotgun, you have nothing to worry about.
Use grenades to make sure no one's planning to sword-kill around a corner or from an alcove or something, and if they try to lunge, then shoot them. If you save your shot for their lunge, then they'll automaticaly put themselves in 1-shot-kill range.

The stats of a pistol in Halo 1
12 shots per clip
2x Zoom
Fires 1 bullet per shot
Unfair reload time (AKA Really fast)

The stats of a battle rifle in Halo 2
36 shots per clip
2x Zoom
Fire 3 bullets per shot
Unfair reload time (AKA Really fast)

Now take 36/3 and you get 12. OH NO!! That's the same shots as the pistol!!

I wonder what happens if you shoot someone in the head 3 times in the Halo 1 pistol? A kill!

O i forgot! what makes halo NOT the best multiplayer game is- NO BOTS! Youve gotta be joking with no bots! (Compter players on multiplyer) I was playing three player and on this GIGANTIC map (All same size) and we couldnt find each other!

Well about the pistol in Halo1 it is not a 6 or 7 shot kill, if you were talented and have good accuracy, you would be able to kill alot faster.

With my accuracy its pretty easy to aim at there heads and kill them very easily.

Bots are just AI, they are easy to figure out. I can basically trick an Elite into doing whatever I want it to do based on it's simple AI scripts.

If you chuck a grenade, it rolls to the side.
If you rush it, it will melee.
If it has a sword, it is kamikaze.
If you have a sword, it is just plain retarded.
If you stick a grenade, it will charge at you.
If you attempt to snipe it and miss, it will hide.
If it's shields are down, it will go to the nearest bit of cover and wait.
It will not pay attention to range of weapons.

Figured all the out when I first faught an Elite.

Bots basically promote horrible skills because you're used to bots, not real people.
You can prove this by watching the people who JUST get on Xbox Live after beating elgendary thinking they're good but they end up getting pwnxored.

Well it doesn't have any bots in multiplayer games because people would just go and kill those and get free kills. So because they are killing those, they get more points, then they win, getting a cheaply won victory. Bot's will just take away the multiplayer experience.

What do you think you play against in singleplayer?

It's better to have optional bots that suck, than to have no bots at all.
