how do you make cannons work without pylons? I am trying to make it so if you build a pylon it changes into a cannon but the cannon wont work. i tried to enable, disable, toggle doodad state but when i build another pylon and it turns into a cannon the other one is disabled and wont work.... please tell me how.

You go to SetDoodadStatus and enable the cannon at its location. However, remember only 1 unit is disabled at one time.

Oh thats a shame, that really helps to know. Maybe you can also make a thread about it and add it to our recent list.
but if i make another cannon do the other ones still work?

How many Cannons do you have on the map? That's a hell of a lot of locations, and triggers just to keep them enabled. Also you can't just do enable at location and preserve because it wont work when another unit is created.

I made a map to do this. And it puts an unmovable lurker underneath it for a perk.
