I've recently gotten back into Soul Calibur II, and was wondering if anyone here plays fighting games as well. Street Fighter games are too fast and confusing for me, as they have too many things on the screen sometimes. I only have a cube, so many of the games, I can't play. I've gotten rid of Smash Bros. so that's out as well.

There is a Tekken 5 machine at the arcades near where I live, but I can't seem to do any combos, so my character ends up doing some flimsy punches and getting wooped. I saw several hardcore players beat the game like caek, and they went on to beat nearly all the fighting games at the arcade... The guy had to go right when he was facing the last boss (M.Bison) in Capcom vs SNK 2, so he let me play...

Well, I didn't win. sad.gif

Anyway, the only arcade game I have on my cube is SCII, which is a great game, fortunately. I'm trying to master Yunsung, as I like to pick underdog characters. So comment! w00t.gif

Well I enjoy Super Smash Bros. more, especially when my friends are over. And with Soul Calibur 2, I have it too and I'm quite good at it, well... with Nightmare, Link, and Raphiel anyway. On smash brothers I beat the game many, many times and I'm very skilled with Captain Falcon. I'm still tryin' to beat Very Hard mode with a little amount of lives. I don't really play very many fighting games. They don't really interest me much but I play a few of them.

I'm trying to get this just for SCII. I hear it makes the game incredible.

I've been playing Soul Calibur II since it came out, and it's safe to say I'm now an expert. My fave characters are Ivy, Seung Mina, Sophitia, Lizardman, Astaroth, and Berserker. My least favorite are Yungsung, Mitsurugi, Assassin, Necrid, and Maxi. You know, the beginner button-masher characters tongue.gif. I especially dislike Yungsung, as a matter of fact. He just sucks way too much.

Those 2 amazing throws that Ivy has is very difficult to pull off. I'm talking about the one where she grabs you and her swords breaks apart into fragments and hits you like bullets. She has nice... animations, heh.

"STRANGLE" (unless you are using Japanese voices)

I find Yunsung slow and underpowered compared to the other characters, which is why I chose him. I still have to get Beserker and Lizardman, but I'm too lazy. I'd have to say Nightmare, Kilik and Necrid are cheese for noobies.

Well, I wanted this:

but I ended up getting this:

I would like to try a Hori, but this works on all 3 machines, has more buttons, and I can use the stick as the main stick for my cube, which I could not with a Hori. It's also cheaper since I didn't have to import it. So in the end, I'm satisfied.

It works surprisingly well on my games:

- Soul Calibur II
- F-Zero GX
- Donkey Konga
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Master Quest
- Resident Evil 4

Tekken is the best fighting game nuff said. Marvel Vs Capcom 2 is super fun as well as Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3.
