Its an economic concept that pisses me off. Its not the concept itself, its what people say.
You hear people say "I need a coffee", "I need some candy" or the most common of all: "I need Staredit Network".
Alright, that means that you would like something. Oh not, thats wrong accually.
"Need" means someone that you have to have, or you'll die. Definition:
"Something required or wanted; a requisite".
So you wont die from having coffee. So you dont NEED a coffee. You WANT a coffee.
Next time someone says "I NEED help". I'll WANT to ban them

Errr actually if someone says he NEEDS help, he WILL get help... If he is here, that's for sure.
Your example is anti-SEN.... Shame on you Mike!!
Well, when somebody says "I want help", it doesn't seems as good as "I need help". Actually, they might need help in order to work on their map, so they are correct in using "need".
For some reason so me.. saying "I want help" kind of sounds like whining.. at least when i say it out loud hahaha

They WANT help because its not a life threatening thing.
You NEED food, but you dont NEED mapping help. You WANT it, and we give it

Ironic because when I think of you, Yoshi, I think of a person who frequently interchanges the two sparingly.
Yoshi... you're starting to remind me of my not-so-completely-but-not-so-incompletely-half-brother... please don't talk about technicalities like that.
"you would of lost if you did that!11!1"
Notice the "of" after "would"? Yep, it;s supposed to be "have", not "of".
"Do the dishes!"
Wash, not do. If you listen to people talking, you'll hear lots of things that don't make sense in the english language. Lots and lots of improper grammar and word use. And it's even more extreme with typing, when it comes to map makers in general. So why does it matteR?

I only picked it up recently

But Yoshi, my point is that they "need" our help in order to continue mapping their map when they run into difficulties they can't solve (not exactly the case usually, but it is possible, and how do you know?).
This whole topic reminds me of my english class a few years back... my teacher would always say dont say "Can i go to the bathroom" its "May i go to the bathroom". If we ever said Can hed be like "id hope so..." same thing with Want and Help if we ever said i needed help he would just kind of walk around and ignore us.. haha it was fun.

You have a point there I admit.

So your saying I should go to the restaurent and WANT something to eat? I mean, it IS the case, but I also NEED to eat; otherwise the place I'm currently in is goddamn useless... no?
You have a point... i guess both can be used, it just really depends on how and when you use them in a sentence.
Nar, Yoshi was all wrong since the start! He is trying to confuse us with his webmaster tricks!
I need vengance! [typo]
Vengeance is fun. Confusion is also fun.
Using elementery logic, therefore:
Vengeance is Confusion.

So Confusion is therefore me.
lol, i dont know what im talking about
