Staredit Network -> Ideas -> new defence idea(if you are still making def maps)

im not going to make this map, because i am actually quite bored to do so.

ive seen that on most defence maps the units you control become invinsible, mainly because you dont want the comp to destroy everything you own. and so the computer can easily move from one place to another without stopping to attack any nearby units.

but what if you could build this super unit on a defence map (would cost alot to build), and instead of it being invinsible like all the other units, it would have normal hit points. all the comps units would then stop and attack that unit, and it would be like you have cast ensare on them. you could put that unit with alot of armor or something, so it wouldnt die right away, or you could make the computer's units cause less damage or something...

dont know if this has already been done, but i think it would be cool if this happened.

So...
You use the unit to give you extra time to kill the computers?

Hmm, not a bad idea...

To add on to that, maybe have the unit be a Zergling that you can burrow when you don't wan't to use it, and when you want to slow some of the computers down, pop the ling up and then quick burrow again before it dies and let its health regenerate for the next wave of units to come.

QUOTE(cs43 at BF)
In various defense maps I have played there is usually one person who sits in the back while multiple players stay at the front defending the runners from getting to the end. They seem to make all the money so they can buy new stuff and keep defending. But, eventually they leak guys and the runners head towards the guy in the back who hasn't been doing anything. He can't defend against them becuase he has gotten so few kills. Then they get by and the game is over right?

Well, I thought of a solution to this problem. Lets say that for every runner you kill, you get 20 minerals normally. Well, I propose to modify that trigger so that The killing player gets 15 minerals and the others each get one of the remaining minerals. And in turn, they each give some of their minerals to everyone else too. That way, the guy in th back get some minerals to build and so does everyone else. I think this is a more efficient system, and no money gets lost in the process.

Idea: All the levels except the last one dont count. But, how ever many guys you lets threw though, will be added to the last level. The last level will be the one that counts.
