Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Meteor Effect

I am currently attempting to make a "meteor" effect on an observer, which I'm doing by centering a location on the observer and then creating and killing a wraith on it. Since I'm constantly centering a location on it, I read in a tutorial that that slows it down.

First question: Is it possible to create a "meteor" effect without slowing it down drastically?

Another thing: I'm doing this with an arbiter too (on another map, where the arbiter is covered in mist [dead hallus]). However, the arbiter does not slow down at all. Anyone know what's up with this?

Air units are not affected by it, only ground units are.

Then why is my observer going at 1 tile/3 seconds (with speed upgrade)?

Yes that should work right there, pretty positive.

Ok, i fixed the problem.

From an earlier trigger, the observer constantly moves towards itself (thus stopping it). However (this is a movie map), it was ordered to constantly move towards an area. Thus, we get our little conflict.

I can't seem to find a map made by Dabbu where he uses a Yamato Cannon fired by a Computer owned BattleCruiser and timed it perfectly to make a great Meteor effect.

Anyone got that map?

I might of a LONG time ago, but not anymore. I used to have a link to the map, but I lost it when i had to format my computer.

BeeR, I would use that except that the player needs to be able to control it. If you can control a CPU-fired Yamato Gun, please tell me how.

I made this awhile ago, if it helps... it's best to use cannons they will atck those.

ADDITION:
HOLY MOLY!!! I just played rockblock.. And my goodness it was the greatest game i've ever encountered on starcraft... THIS IS WHAT RPGS SHOULD BE LIKE. Not stupid fight monster get stronger and be the best. But to follow a great story where you feel the character and it to be funny. The landslide, the gold, the meteriod, all of it was greatness. I want a sequal!!!!! If i had karma i'd give it all.

Midnight Gladius, one of the featured maps has an amazing meteor effect.

It's Dabbu's map, I forget the name—point being, the make is Dabbu.

When the game begins, a yamato gun fires and leaves the remains of a "Dabbu meteor" (Zerg egg).

I recommend that for your meteor effect.
