I have Hex Workshop I know where to go to find the strings, but what I don't get is how to edit them. I need to erase all the strings in my map because I am starting over but I don't want to redo the terrain. Can someone give me a tutorial or at least explain how to change things?

Use this program instead

Save your terrain then load it up in a new map.
Deleting strings won't do crap and will screw up your map because you would need to delete all traces of that map including references to it from other sections of the chk.
