What game do you feel is what revolutionized gaming experiences. Explain in detail what factor caused this "chain reaction" and explain why you think so. Also please include the system and other features, etc.

Chrono Trigger. Awsome graphics at that time. New RPG system (no random encounters, dual/triple techs, etc...) introduced. Addictive storyline. The fact that you could actually continue the same game over a new adventure.

Dude what i did was i took the gun right up too the tv imean like a inch away cuz i was like 7-8 yeras old. Ide just shoot them. I figured out that player two gets too controll the ducks if you plug in a regular controller...Too bad my nintendo got stolen.

Sonic the Hedgehog

No. Not enough said. Sonic sucked. All you'd have to do is to start and run as fast as you can to the end w/ all secrets. And if you lost your boost a second you were screwed most of the game.

For me, it's prolly Pokemon. Don't laugh. Red and Blue were the best Gameboy RPG at the time, but after that, it got too sucky...

Pokemon was really one of the best games out there at that point in time.

It was probably the best RPG game I ever played on my old Gameboy. And let's face it, Pokemon was good in the first 3 or 4 months it got out. After it got pwned by everyone.

For competive gaming StarCraft obviously. For pure entertainment value Zelda: A Link to the Past. StarCraft because it's so complex and really tests your ability to beat out your enemy. Zelda because it's a lot of fun and I have a lot of good memories associated with it. I played NES and yeah it's old school but not home to my favorite game.

I guess those new pokemon games can be fun... But obviously, i hate the storyline, and everything about the story. If they just made a game like that with something that didnt have to do with an electric rat... and the new ones are bad... but the old ones are good i must say...(tho i havnt played them ina awhile, and dont think i will.)

But the game pwned its time.

Some kid asked me to catch some rare pokemon at the Safari Park and I got SO addicted to it after that. I wouldn't give the frickin game boy up!

I got that three game catridge, where you got Mario Bro's, Duck Hunt, and Track and Field...
I got the pad for Track and Field as well, me and my older brother would get on the bed and just stomp on the pad really fast and go flying off the screen..

Well, I would say Halo, because I love the storyline, the books pwn, but.. well alot of people for whatever reason hate HALO, not sure why.. haven't figured that out yet.. I was dissappointed in Halo 2, but I got XBL just for H2.

But, I do know graphics don't make a game, as I still play NES/SNES/Genesis/N64...

The game setup is nice,
You get a race set weapon,
Then one heavy, and one light? or was it energy.... .. then you get your melee weapon..

Which my favorite character from the Demo was Anubis, and he has this staff, called a Nakhti Ritual Staff, or somethin' like that, I haven't done any research on the game, as I wasn't aware of how awesome it was till I played the demo.. Now I eagerly await 4/18 [Release Date].

it's prolly for Xbox only. Xbox only has good shooters and graphics. But, Xbox is still a prety good system.

Geez, how come none of u guys have said ANYthing about staarcraft? Isn't the question of this topic "What do you think is the best game of all time?" For all of us, it should be starcraft since we're loyal and part of a starcraft community.

Just because you are loyal and part of a community doesn't mean you think it's the greatest game ever, I've taken part in a mostly CS community for a long time, but I played the game for a few months and I hate it now. I've been part of a Ragnarok Online community, several even, but that game isn't the best ever.
On topic, I would have to go with Dungeons and Dragons, for a non PnP game I would go with Rogue. I <3 Roleplaying games and these are the oldest of them all.

I agree, the game is 7 years old, you shouldn't be on these forums unless you grew up with it (unfortunatly that's not true at all, more than half the community only got into SC last year it seems, hell if I know why). You really shouldn't be playing a 7 year old game if it's not in at least your top 3 of all time.

Dungeons and Dragons is an awesome board game. But several video games have been made out of it. But it is mainly a board game.

How can you define the best game? We all have different taste's in games. So i cant really say any, because i would have put a few. None of which is GTA or halo. If i had pick any would be Warcraft & Dune 2, first 2 strg games i ever played and got me hooked on gaming. so meh, all i guess.

I did grow up with SC, I first played it at my oldest brothers house, and was hooked, I saved up my money, which was a weekly WEAK allowance of $5.. and time seemed to drag on, but I finally got SC, version 1.0 w00t, anyways, I played the hell out of it, soon leaving the consoles for the PC, which my comp was a nice one at the time, I began to be addicted to SC, Diablo, Diablo 2, WCI & II, there didn't seem to be enough time to play all these games, but one always stood out, and never lost its touch: SC.. I was unaware of the Expansion until it had been lowered in price signaficently, which I bought at the time at EB with the money on hand, and jumped back into SC, with even more renewed vigor...

Now,
The reason I didn't say it was the best game of all time, is because.. WELL, new games will always be upon us, and new games pwn old games, old games pwn new games, etc., etc... Its impossible to crown ONE game as the best game of all time.. which is a bit hyprocritical of me, since I was like LOL NWEBZ IT BE UC2 BECAUSE IT PWN j00!11@#4$$31!! L0L..

Anyways...

As for DND being a BOARD GAME? WTF I was pretty sure DnD was a pen and paper game.. That might be an error in my experiance as a table top/pen paper gamer... BUT I maybe wrong.. Might...
