Too vague I say. could you post the map or give more details?

If you have hundreds of units, most likely. However, I can't really give you a justified reason why. Ask someone experienced with SC how come.

well i didn't test the map until i was done with all the eye candy and now my marines don't shoot regular.. they don't shoot bullets at all

Do you mean your abled or disabled marines? Also, how many units you think you have in your map total?

this problem happens often when too many animations are being used or something like that i believe. take away the useless units. this happens often in lurker defence.

You don't need disabled marines at all. You don't need to disable anything.
Just build a bunker and a marine, and move them to somewhere else.
Unless you mean preplaced invisible bunkers or something.

Edit- Or possibly, you could be removing the bunker after it is moved.

Oh whoops, my bad.
You mean disabled bunkers?
Just disable the bunkers and not the marines.

i think you need the disabled bunkers still there for the effect to work though

The disabled marines are just to make his map look really 1337 ppl. read his posts clearly. Also, there probably is too many animations going on for your marines to react at all to anything.

No one bothered to ask but...are you sure the thing you're trying to shoot is your enemy?

hit the sprite limit?

if the game have like more than about 300 or 400 units that trying to attack, not jsut shoot, attack* UNDERSTAND? j/k ok if they try to attack, those units shoot blanky smile.gif which meant shoot no bullets and attack doesnt effect at all sad.gif. so dont try to make a map like wars like that.

Like in evolve games, sometimes if you have too much air units attack together.
Click on one of them and look at it, its not attacking at all or some times the bullets disappear before reach the enemy units.

Amazing. that's what, 9 posts till an answer. You have used too many sprites overall and the attack sprite animation can't fire. Starcraft has an ingame sprite limit of 2048, which can't be overridden. Each unit uses one sprite, every doodad uses a sprite, and every attack animation uses a sprite and every buff (visual addon to unit such as ensnare) uses a sprite. If your sprite count is at 2048 than the attack (missile) sprite can't be created and the attack fails. Find ways of lowering your sprite count to fix the problem.

urmom suggested that quite a few posts back. I've only seen this sprite limit get reached in stacked defense maps; I think it would be quite difficult to reach it with preplaced units unless you went completely overboard. He also indicated that he hadn't tested the map at all until after adding the "eye candy." I agree that it's probably the sprite limit, but it really could be anything.

Lol Heim try playing an air madness. Bingo! Sprite limit hit pretty darn fast. It could be "eye candy" that uses up a lot of sprites wink.gif

That would be funny if you forgot to de-ally them... wink.gif
