Staredit Network -> Ideas -> Eye on starcraft

Ive had this idea going around in my head for a little while.. and i wasnt sure about it.

it could either be really really crappy, or really really good.

anyways.

Eye on starcraft would be an interviewing show where, the host, has a chat with some good map creators or creators of popular maps. we would interview them in say, a channel, write it down, then put it into a map for the public eye to see.

i beleive it is a very new idea (or "original") but there a few problems with it.

1) Getting interviews could become hard - some good creators have also left sc.
2) the time it would take. firstly the interview would take a while. then doing all the triggers for it and so-forth.
3) Many maps would have to be produced in the series. it would be probably 1 or maybe 2 interviews per map.

------

feedback on the idea please.

------

i may need people to help.. im not sure..

------

*just a thought* maybe we could audio record some of the interviews. that would save time. but it would largely increase the size of the map.

by "we" i mean "i" in the sense that i might have some helpers soon.

------

Thankyou.

It could be a good idea, but I'm not very interested in interviews. Interviews bore me. But it could show us what each map maker has coming up for the whole starcraft community. In my opinion this will most likely be one of those series of maps that only SEN members and their friends will get a chance to see. If you like this idea, then go for it, but I think you should wait for other people to post their opinions first.

If you did it as a web page, it may be quicker and more interesting.

Nah I think doing it on a map since its an interview with mapmakers that it should be, on a map, adds depth to it I think.

You can do it in blocks though.

Like
EOS Episode I.scm

MapMaker gets to pick what unit they wanna be.
Then you have 3 mapmaker beacons on every map, and then a fourth to watch the whole thing.

If they go to one it only does one, then when its done the scenerio exits.

And they can play all 3 and then it exits. Cuz some peeps will stay to listen about 1 that they like but dont care for the others because they just dont play the maps that they develope.

I think its a really good idea.

PS EOS short for Eye on Starcraft

PPS And have the host name be u and a unit you want or you could do like a twist on a talkshow host like Dave Makermap or Jay Mapo, or even Rosie O'Mappel
