Recently the T35 FTP program and server had gon laggy on me since I was uploading many files today. I asked one of the persons that work at T35 and he told me that T35's FTP service isn't really meant to be used at such a big scale, but that they are coding a new one and will release it soon. He told me to get a FTP program like SmartFTP but I don't like it since it never wants to connect.

Any suggestions?

Couldn't show better one myself. Fully professional paid program except the freeware limiter is broken. tongue.gif

As I said in my first post thats the one I was refered to and I'm trying to fix it or at least know how to use it since it never wants to connect.

I keep getting this:
CODE

   SmartFTP v1.1.985.6
   Resolving host name ftp.t35.net...
Connecting to (ftp.t35.net) ->  IP: XX.XX.XXX.XX PORT: XX
   Connected to (ftp.t35.net) -> Time = 0ms
Socket connected waiting for login sequence.
220---------- Welcome to Pure-FTPd [TLS] ----------
220-You are user number 13 of 50 allowed.
220-Local time is now 11:55. Server port: XX.
220-This is a private system - No anonymous login
220 You will be disconnected after 15 minutes of inactivity.
   USER beer_keg
331 User beer_keg OK. Password required
   PASS (hidden)
530 Authentication failed, sorry
Cannot login waiting to retry (30s)...

BTW:I put X's on IP number and port number.

I ahev the server, username, password and port number all correct in their fields. It keeps giving me that message and when it retries to login it'll give me the same message...

From what I recall you host at t35, so make sure the host adress is "ftp.t35.com", the User ID is your site, and the Account is the (your real)name you wrote when you got the site.
Also t35 is sometimes down so if it the FTP doesn't work check over 10 minutes later.

It may also make things simpler if you'll use the ordinary FTP you get with Windows instead of SmartFTP.

Windows has an FTP?
Where is it?

Go to the command line prompt and type ftp. tongue.gif

I would reccomend SmartFTP. You have password problems, that's all. Get it reset or something. Make sure you aren't using crazy ASCII characters in it.

It's a basic DOS FTP, you don't want to use that.

http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/ is what I suggest.

The good people at T35 fixed my problem.

My login is beer_keg.t35.com and not beer_keg.
