Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Noob Question Bout Minerals

When i make a mineral field by clicking Sprite>Reasources>Mineral Field 1
The minerals in the actual game always say Minerals: 0
How Can I Make Them Have Value, 50,000 or anything.

wouldn't u just right click the mineral field in the editor and click on properties and change the resources option

Don't place it as a sprite, place it as a P12 unit. The normal way we used to do it way back then.

oh u placed it as a sprite, didn't see that. yeah use the one from unit/neutral/mineral field 1 or something like that.

As far as I know, if it's a sprite you can't even click on it. It just acts as part of the background and you can walk over it like it's terrain. Correct me if im wrong, I have never made a mineral field as a sprite, but every sprite I made it acts like terrain.

well i didnt know about that but yes you can change it by highlighting it and right click and go to properties and you can change the resource count. let me try it out.


no you cant walk on it its used as a real mineral field only it says its a sprite with 0 minerals.

first, u can click on it as a spite, once u gather 1 mineral, it disapears, the P12 ownership works, thanks all

There are sprites and unit sprites. Unit sprites work just like units.

Just do what BeeR said and stop trying to overcomplicate your map.
