I'm still pissed... I've had a Gamecube for onlt 1 year and they want to already pwn all Gamecube games... Sigh...
well, the gamescube does have fanatsy staronline.... but that isnt through a gamecube server lol
Nintendo finally gets over its online phobia. It makes me consider buying the Revolution.
I'll still go for Sony. Sony like makes the best electronics products while Microsoft isn't the best computer company tho. (Just has the rich man Bill Gates)
Except Sony doesn't have a good record of keeping their hardware bug free. I knew the Revolution would have free online play and intergrated, sorta obvious -_-
At least the Revolution can play all Gamecube games for the most part.
Well, I have to choose between Halo 3, the Next Metal Gear Solid/Final Fantasy/Gran Turismo/Tekken, and Zelda/Super Smash Bros./Mario Kart/Metroid
The only games I'm interested in each system.
Get Timesplitters: Future Perfect instead.

Just a quick question...Why don't any other company's make there consoles online.. Like Gamecube or PS2...
PS2 IS online, stupidity retardando!
PS2 has online capabilities, despite being mediocre. It just isn't as good as Xbox Live. And I probably won't have money for next-gen consoles, so it doesn't really matter to me. But Revolution sounds very interesting...

actually, myamoto (creator of mario) said that revolution would be reverse compatible also, it would play gc games and it will let gc play revolution games

That would be insane.
I didn't remember him saying that Revolution games would be playable on the Gamecube. I could understand the Gamecube > Revolution, but the other way around, using less advanced processors would probably degrade the graphics would not? Kinda like running Half-Life 2 on a good computer, then trying to run it on a crappy computer. It might work, but the quality would fall.
He probably misunderstood. Because... that doesn't even make any sense.
If the gamecube could play Revo games then why by a revo? just get the games... That would be an AWFUL SELLING tactic...
Gamecube does have an Online has no one herd of it? Its just that
you cant find the adaptor anywhere or anything and no one would be
online...
I think it was designed to be able to go online... But just didn't. There's like 3 unused thingies under my Gamecube which I don't even know what they are for :/ (wild guess).
And BTW, Revolution games WON'T go on NGC. That's definitive.

Every Nintendo system has unused slots, actually. Even the NES. Nintendo likes to watch their backs by having the freedom to put out any crazy hardware extras they think of... Unfortunately most of the extras don't make it to America.
Did anyone know that the NES could go online? Yep, in the late 80s, even. There was a network in Japan and I think a small network in Minnesota or something that connected an NES to a server through a phone line, like a dial-up modem. It was used mostly for news and information though. Not games.
And the SNES did have downloadable online games too, through a satellite program, but you couldn't play with other people online.
