I don't like how after you click square then u place it, then if you click another terrain, it goes back to diagonal...

PS. Is there a chance you could add a random terrain generator?

The terrain type reverting to isometrical has been fixed for the next version.

you mean random terrain as in entire maps? I doubt it, because there would be no way to ensure the map were balenced.

Thats very true. Theres a generator for War2, but War2 is a lot simpler than SC terrain.

yeah, and war2 allows symmetrical maps which sin't possible with sc.

anything else?

I'm mostly looking forward to a nice trigger editor. But if you want suggestions...

A key combo to quickly change a units owner. I.E. If I have a marine selected in SCMdraft, pressing Control + 3 will bring it Player 3 Control.

You even got 90-= for the players after 8 happy.gif

Make Command Centers different in appearance from Infested Command Centers. They're using the EXACT same sprite, making it impossible to tell visually (without clicking or anything).

they will; have the proper overlay, the next version (current beta) has all overlays / underlays displayed and animated. also has addon connecters and linking and stuff. (which includes the infestion)
Only reason I didn't release it this weekend is with the current state of the trigger editor I would get too many complaints (fully functional, no bugs discovered yet, but very very minimal GUI)

btw, anyone who wants to join the beta testers can contact me, I may add them to my
list.

EDIT:
just released the new version, if I forgot anything feel free to tell me.

So far, I think SCMdraft is looking extremely great. But If you want to perfect, heres my feedback:

Things you forgot:
- There was an option to add SCMdraft to the context menu of maps (when you right click scm or scx files). I didn't click yes, and struggled to find the option inside, which I couldn't.

Things to suggest:
- Make the Terrain window resizible.
- When you select units/buildings, the circle is always red, as an improvement, you can:
>> The color is based apon the player color of the unit selected
>> Better yet, The color is based apon the relationship of the current player in focus. (green = self, yellow = allie, red = enemy). Player in focus meaning the funky dropdown box at the top.
- Units can still semi-stack. In regular staredit it works like buildings (except it doesnt snap to grid)

Thats all I can think of. Great job though wink.gif

Add an option to disable the wireframes.
The fog of war off the map bug still isn't fixed for me over here. It only crashes on the south side.

Suicidal, is a Mac OS X version of SCMDraft 2 on your long-term to-do list? Am I retarded for even asking that?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by SI on 2004-03-29 at 08:49:51
that option and all other similar option are in Options -> Advanced.

the terrain window will be redone sometime.
I already use all 3 colors, red for selection, green for powered, and yellow for selected in unit properties dialog.

Only air units can semi stack, unless stacking is enabled. Ground units will not be placed with stacking disabled.

I'll check the fog of war. I had thought it was working now.

Max Os X version may come after it is completely done, seeing how DW has a mac and once mentioned porting it. I wouldn't hold my breath tho wink.gif.

I will be adding an option to disabled wireframes, I just didn't have time to add that to this version (uni).

it screws maps up

This doesn't tell Suicidal anything usefull, It is nothing but spam.

If it really does "screw maps up" explain how they are screwed up, and what you did to screw them up. Can you repeat the error again? Is there something specific you did to screw your map up. Maybe you should submitt a "screwed up" map so Suicidal can see what might of went wrong.

If you want something changed you need to be specific and tell exactly what is wrong.

I cant find where to edit triggers. if there is a trigger edit in scmdraft can you rename it to trigger edit or make it easier to find

It isn't in yet. Read the news posts on SCF. :/

the bug preventing some win9x users from running scmdraft has been located, castrated, killed, and fixed.
Redownload it and it should work.
