Staredit Network -> UMS Showcase -> My Second UMS

Wow, I was just reading over Yoshi's pinned rules, and I can agree with every word in the thread.. In fact it is almost like I followed those rules strictly when making this map..
I think it was as much fun to make this map as it is to play..
Let me first say that I played the UMS map: HGMA Defense, and I liked the gameplay, but not the map itself, so I made MY OWN version, from scratch. In about three days, and problably about twelve programs, and a few more days of tweaking properties later, I would like to submit this map for you all to Enjoy, and give feed back on. (Constructive criticism Welcome)

General Description:
-Requires 6 players (Especially if you want to win)
-Defend against a constant flow of enemy units trying to bypass your collective defenses.
-16 levels, plus 2 minerals for each level completed up until level 10. Level 11 and up is 10 minerals per level.
-10 kills (counted) = 1 Civillian. (Civillian(s) used for purchasing units or more minerals)
-Minerals used for upgrading your units.
-If ONE 'any unit' gets to the End, it is GAME OVER!

Extra Features:
-Charity Mode: If you have atleast 10 minerals, you can select this beacon, and use the observer given to select a specific player's Ban beacon, to donate 10 minerals. (Mainly useful if a player has to leave the game unexpectedly. Charity mode will disable if you drop below 10 minerals or re-select the beacon, when it is activated)

-Ban Function: If for any reason atleast 3 players decide you should be banned, they bring their civillian's to your beacon, and wa-laa, You are Banned!

-Unit Distribution: Whether a player leaves, or is banned, the units owned by him get evenly distributed to the remaining players.

-2 ore = 1 Civillian converter: If you have atleast 2 ore and decide you would rather have a civillian, select this beacon.

-Unit Return: If you purchased the wrong unit, or just need to return some, bring them to this area and get minerals in exchange. (requires atleast the same amount of units originally purchased to activate)

-Warp Beacons: Above where your units are spawned, these beacons can warp your units right to your start location.

-H.U.D.: Leaderboard Display (Most Kills/Best Defense), Next Level Countdown Timer, Vespene counter (Counts how many units have been killed towards receiving your next civillian, out of 10)

-Eye Candy: Not only does the Minimap look cool, but the Shields/HP portion serve as a Level Indicator (HP), and Level Time Duration (Shields)

-Around 20 (but haven't counted) WAV's all packed into a protected 27.1 kb bundle of fun. (yes 27.1)

FAQ: Why is it called "Arbtier Defense", when you dont use Arbiters?
1) All units are trying to get to the location at the Arbiter on the minmap.
2) You will have to defend against Arbiters at the Last Level for 5 minutes.
3) That's my theme.

Check it out, and Enjoy!
P.S. I have only beaten this twice, so it will take a level of experience playing it, to master it..

I played this, and someone left and all their units were P12s, you might want to fix that because we lost.

Hmm... I have never had that problem before... Maybe the trigger took long enough to execute that you lost before you noticed that you had his units?? Like towards the end or something??

I have seen this trigger execute just fine, dozens of times... Can someone else vouch for this??

This is the very simple trigger used:

Players: 1,2,3,4,5,6.
Conditions: Always.
Actions: Give 1 any unit owned by '_' (<--p12) at 'anywhere' to current player.
----------Preserve Trigger.

EDIT: Just got out of a game, where one person left, and i got disconnected at the end... Both times, the trigger worked fine, although at the end where I d/c'ed, i lost before all units became mine..
Here's the replay:

Yup. I made these, lol.. I liked the gameplay of the HGMA maps, but wasn't too happy about the cheating thing with the ovie, and it didnt look very professional, so i made my own version, i guess you could say..
And yaa, it seems easy, but the earlier ones I made I could never beat, because I could never find enough good players, and ones who could stay the whole game, to ever win... So I had to make it a little easier.

Here's the latest version. It features some more cool effects, and a slightly new unit pick..
-305 triggers
-110 locations
-25 .WAV's
-3 Secrets (can you find them?)

OO, And if you want a HARDER one.. I made the --4x Speed-- version wink.gif
ENJOY!
