Well, a while ago, I made this really tight bound. Obviosly, I protected it. But Me being me then,(makes no sense) I put a song in it... blushing.gif Its a long song, too big for forums... I need to take the music out. Help or not? ( I need to unprotect it...) I looked in other forums, and no one could help me.. Hope someone here can!

Download WinMPQ from the Download Database, open the protected map with it and remove the sound smile.gif

That'll make the map smaller.

About the protection issue, we don't support unprotection here, so it's a bit hard to find someone that'll help you unprotect the map tongue.gif

In the future if there's some things you want to learn in protected maps too, people here will kindly help you out smile.gif

Make sure you have installed the required VB (VisualBasic Runtimes) and other necessary files.

Edit: Oh ok (posted while Invader posting), no problem smile.gif

Omg... It said It deleted it.. And when I went to test... I didn't delete the song... I just removed it from the list..

Removing it using WinMPQ isn't "removing from the list" it's removing the file completely. So I don't know what your problem would be.

If you deleted it using WinMPQ then you deleted it. If you ever add the sound again, I'm pretty sure you will be able to play it and hear the music/sound in the map again. Provided it had the same string path as before.

Like if it was:

/staredit/wav/music.wav

Before, then if you add the sound again, it would have to be the same string.

I friggin' deleted it, I double checked. The map size is STILL 50,000-60,000 kb.(No one really cares what the exact size of it is, and I'm just lazy.)

EDIT-

LET ME CHECK AGAIN.

ADDITION:

Oh I get It, Thanks, PROBLEM SOLVED. biggrin.gif
