Take a look at the attached map (this map: [attachmentid=7136] ). I was making a map a long time ago, but then I quite working on it. So, today I thought I would start working on it again. First of all, I remembered that I had added a new feature and that I need to debug the rest of the features. So I went and played the map. One of the first things I noticed was the becons frame rate was 2 times faster – and yet I didn’t place any map revealers for any extended players. I know I only placed map revealers for player 8. I thought it might of been one or more of the triggers, so I deleted all of the triggers, saved the map, and then played it again. I got the same results. I then attempted to duplicate the same results using just SCM Draft 0.4.5 (beta). The only units I played appear on the top right hand of the map. (Here is the map: [attachmentid=7137] undefined ) This time, the 2 becons on the top seemed to be going 4 times faster than 2 becons on the bottom, which seemed to go 2 times faster than normal. Uh, did I discover another way to make the becon’s frame rate be 2x faster? Or is it because I was testing the map in fastest mode using UDP?
Note: I don’t know if it helps a lot, but I was using SCM Draft .4.5 (before trigedit was released), Starcraft Xtra editor (for my triggers), and I was testing the maps by myself in using the UDP protocol.
Sidenote: I wonder why the second map is much larger than the first map
