OK, here's the deal, I have Never used a hyper trigger, so i don't really know how they work, or effect certain things, rather...
So here are a few questions (after reading the tut.):

1) It says, "copy the trigger 3 times".. Does this mean after I complete the hyper trigger, I then need to copy the whole thing a total of 3 times, so that it has 3 identical triggers?

2) Does one hyper trigger speed up only that trigger? Or does it effect other triggers firing speed?

This one is not really a hyper trigger question, but:

3) If I make a map that runs at 2X, or 4X speed, will this effect the triggers firing speed? Or do triggers always fire at the same speed?

Thanks!

ok what u do is make it for player 8 or 7 or doesn't matter really

do always
then do wait 0 mili and alt c until it reaches bottum
delete 2
preserve
comment if u want (if u dont' want to then just delete 1)
then copy that trigger about 3-4 times

1.) Yes.
2.) Speeds up every trigger in the map.
3.) Nope, same firing speed. The unit framerate is what speeds up.

Hyper trigger 's purpose is to make other triggers to work more properly, but you have to practice on hyper triggers too.

I dont think it affect other stuffs in the map exept other triggers. closedeyes.gif

HMmmm.... OK gotcha. So USUALLY, only one hyper trigger is needed in a map..
This could kinda fudge some other triggers in my certain map, I suppose I'll have to do some tweaking of other triggers (one's that constantly spawn units at a location, in particular).

Also: Could the speed of all this stuff effect latency, or lag, in a game online?
(Say I'm running a map at 2X speed, with a hyper trigger.)

No, lag is entirely the computers fault.

hyper triggers dont make them work more properly...your trigger either works or doesnt work the way you like it to. it just speeds up the time that starcraft checks all of the triggers.

smile.gif Thanks guys, lotsa help!! smile.gif

ADDITION:
Sorry for the double post, but i wanted to get it back on the list for one more question...

Does the 'list placement' of a hyper trigger have any effect on rest of the triggers?
For instance, does it have to be at the beginning or end of a trigger list for a certain player? Or, does it not matter?

It shouldn't matter, though it would be best to keep them at the top of the list.

It doesn't make one bit of a difference smile.gif.
And double posting...don't worry. It's pretty impossible. And when it does happen, it's becuase it's allowed.
No worries smile.gif.

Uh what, it doesn't matter?

You want to have your hyper triggers at the end of the trigger order list to minimize wait blocks. But if you do it properly by having a seperate player for the hyper triggers, and that player has no triggers with waits then it doesn't matter.

Makes sense to me! biggrin.gif Thank you...
