Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Weird problem with a trigger
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Odin on 2005-04-02 at 14:01:18
In my almost complete map, I added a trigger that I had forgot about.

Now this trigger is really simple, which is to once this addon is destroyed, to remove the gate/door near the addon

But, when I try to add the trigger, something is wrong.

It all goes well up to the point where I try to choose the location for the trigger.

Instead of getting the location, it shows up as just a space, and that happens with any new triggers I try, no matter what location it affects, who the trigger affects, anything

and I'm fairly sure I still have some strings and locations left

The solution is probably fairly simple, but can any one help me?

Thanks in advance

Before you do anything suggested, make a backup of the map.

Now, you might want to try creating a new location then opening it in a program like ProEdit and just recycle the strings.

Which location does it mess up on? You MAY (And I say may) not be able to remove the door, but you disable it (Unless its a door of units, like buildings).

Are you editing a protected map in Starforge? It does that when you do.

Sounds like the location bug.

You may try opening the map in Starforge and going to the location browser and checking that all locations have a name.

I have to thank you all, because I was able to fix it, I don't know exactly how, but it got fixed

And DT_Battlekruser what would I have protected my map before I finished it? Makes sense though, it could have happened blink.gif
