I want to know how to get both, if not 1 is fine, into the game. Thnx for the help too!

I'm 80 percent sure you create it as a Sprite in a program such as starforge and check the property "draw as a unit".

Yes, you can in Starforge, however it is simplest, i believe, to select 'layer' then 'sprite', then look at the left hand column (the list), then click the little box 'sprite'.. Under that you will be able to place things as sprites.. There are other cool looking sprites listed, as well as spells that can be performed right at the start of a game.

Just make sure you place these sprites last when making a map, If you are switching between editors, because other editors will delete them.. cool1.gif

Uhh How else do you place sprites, besides using SCM Draft?

I was explaining how to do it in Starforge.. I think you just misunderstood me. Re-read my post! biggrin.gif

All I know is that you can place sprites in StarForge and ScmDraft 2. The newer version of ScmDraft allows you to place all sorts of sprites. That's all I can say... closedeyes.gif

yes to do it in Starforge, you go to layers, then spreites. Then on the left column, there will be a button. Click that until it says 'Sprites'. Then you can find a whole bunch of cool stuff.

-.-

Gj, bolt... I thought you made bounds...

You can place sprites beyond SCMDraft and StarForge by using ANY trigger program.

Its called (in actions box): Disable unit, enable unit, enable unit. gg.
Though, it only places a set sprite each time, can crash the users/players, and disables replay (due to crash).

Uhhh what?
The Ashworld rock sprite doesn't count.
And the sprite is placed when the unit is disabled. You don't have to enable it for the sprite and you don't have to enable it twice for the effect your looking for.

And how do bounds relate? And no i don't make bounds, but there easy to do.

uhhh.. ok. Thnx!! I was just not sure, and was about to try the sprite thing. But thnx to u all.

Oh, and where do u get new SCMdraft? I didn't know they were done with it now.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Red2Blue on 2005-04-06 at 23:47:34
How does it not relate? It IS a sprite after all... You cannot just say something is not a sprite because a unit created it. Isn't that another way to place a sprite beyond SCMDraft and SF?

And it relates to bounds because it was first widely used in bounds when people have discovered the whole notion of disable unit.

You have to disable twice to prevent crash on view or remove the unit...

BoundingCJ, you can get the new SCMDraft from the home page, in the recent posts by signing up at their site. Theres a link.

You can get the oldie at the DLDB, without or with the trigger edit of your choice.

You can get the Newie at http://scmdraft.stormcoast-fortress.net but you need to register.

Make sure your directories are setup like this:

\SCMDraft 2.exe
\plugins\TrigEdit.sdp

If that is fine then contact SI or post in the SCMDraft 2 forum because he can fix your problem quickly.
