I'm sure there's a way/program to do it, since there's terrain pellet in some editors, what's the most efficient way of copying a part of the map (terrain) and pasting it to other parts?

How to make Starforge brushes:
Go to the Terrain Layer.
Select the tiles you want in a box (left-click + drag).
Right click and select Create Brush.
Select the new brush from the list and give it a name (optional).
Press Save to save the brush to a file (to use with other maps). You can save more than one brush to the same file, to make your own brush set.

is this the only way? anyway to do it on SCMdraft?
I donno about newer version of SF but in my experience SF is buggy and runs slow, and once you use square terrain the iso terrain is messed up.

The real real old version of SCMDraft 1 could do this, but that program is very buggy and unstable! I do NOT suggest you use it. Stick with Starforge for something like this.

Highlight the terrains you want to copy, add make a brush with it (right click I think).

Then save the brushes you got, load them up in another map!

If what you're asking is, "is starforge still a buggy pice of junk?" the answer appears to be no. I'm not having any problems useing it, except one with the protection function, and I'm still useing version 2.0

So give the new version a shot before you give up, it might be exactly what you're looking for.
