I was wondering if you would at least enable the map preview images on the front page for the map spotlight.

Thats up to IP. I say that we should just kill them in category view, but keep them in file view and stuff.

It dropped hella fast without the screenshots directory.
69.93.72.122 is still registering bandwidth taken though, partly because of the front page failed images (614 bytes per image attempt) but then there's also this:

/downloads/mirror/SCXE26SetupE.exe
Http Code: 200 Date: Apr 07 06:34:13 Http Version: HTTP/1.0 Size in Bytes: 5732582

Wtfage?
Maybe I'll spend some time looking through the dldb script for a hot fix, or just concentrate my efforts on v5 to get it up quicker?

Perhaps, trade off the .rm and .wmv files (almost 2.5 gigs this month so far) and reenable the screenshots in fileview and on the front page?

We WERE mirroring SCXE for SI's site, but maybe we should stop due to B/W problems?

Well, nah...
.exe's this month only took up 25% of the bandwidth, and that's reasonable because of this site's nature. This is the first time I've seen the server double hit an exe, and I've been watching lately.

The biggest problem is the uncompressed screenshots combined with the double hits from the server...
The bulky php files and ugly code waste a good portion as well.

Senv5 will definitely kill any bandwidth problems.

I'm not even close to hitting my bandwidth mark even after all the downloads of those huge zips. And I have a pretty cheap plan. smile.gif
