I am creating an RPG, but, I want when you are killed to be wounded (no weapons/armor). Can a location trigger following the unit accomplish this?

Yeah. Just be wary of unplacables. The whole game could get screwed with just one.

So, should I make it so it had to check with a switch to make that not happen?

btw, thanks!

Shouldn't this be in Map Making Assistance?

Anyways, how will you detect if the unit is not near a cliff or close to some un walkable terrain with switches?

You make sure a burrowed unit that is constantly being moved under it is still under it.
Or you move a unit to that location and see if it works.
Or spawn a unit there and see if it works.

I use a scourge offset trigger.

All's I want to make it is a wounded person (drone) to reappear when the person dies to give them a second chance. Would an observer following the unit accomplish this like by following the unit constantly?

BTW, isn't this staredit related?

And I plan to accomplish this by making it so when the unit appears, the switch is turned off. If it isn't, it keeps trying to create a unit there every so milleseconds, and if the unit isn't created there, I plan to make it go back somewhere barren.

Yet another edit:

I didn't see the map making assistance forum blushing.gif
