In most American movies they use to have Sweden or the swedish people as an example of something, or just name Sweden as "Swedish Meatballs" or something like that. How come they always do that?

Or British people, with huge moustaches and monocles (see avatar), sipping tea on the verandah of a colonial-looking house and talking in exaggerated RP accents.

You also get the British bad guy(s) in a lot of movies too. Star Wars...Death Star...Imperials speaking with English accents and blundering about like stupid oafs... need I say more? -.-

I like the 'Here comes the cavalry!' way that America is portrayed in movies. Always coming in at the last minute to save the world/etc. from certain doom. Propaganda or what?
