Ok, here is a little background information before I tell you my story.
I am 16 and work at a grocery store that was recently sold to new owners. These new owners put up a suggestion box, to see what the community wants.
My best friend, Steve, i have known for about 3 years now. Steven (Different Kid) I have known for about 4, and am not good friends with, but decent friends. Josh, i have known for about a year, and have never fought with or had any misunderstandings.
Okay, so today i am working, and the manager for the night tells me that he saw a card in the suggestion box that says "Fire Matt." And so of course i am thinking, who hates me that much!? So later i go to go on my 15 minute break, and i am waiting in line at one of the registers to pay for my stuff i am getting. Steve, Steven, and Josh come in. They walk past the registers, look at me, and keep walking. Steven began to say something, but then stopped realizing the other two were not going to talk to me. So they walk to the back of the store (where the suggestion box used to be). Then while i am on my break, the manager comes back, and says that my friends were writing something for the suggestion box again. Turns out that they wrote, "Matt wants to get fired" and left. So i wrote a letter explaining to the owners how immature and stupid my so-called friends were, which is ridiculous because i cant believe that the owners have to deal with this after just having the store for a week.
So now i am trying to get a hold of them so i can get after them and they seem to be ignoring me. I dont THINK i did anything lately to make them mad at me, infact on Friday, we all talked and were fine.
Should i go about confronting them in a forgiving way? Or a ruthless way, because i dont think they deserve any leaneancy. This was bullshit.
What I would do:
Try to find out what's wrong. Don't get angry or anything.
Then, once and if you find out, give them what they deserve for being as far as you can tell irrationally asinine.
heh, once my friend said, "go to hell". that hurt me a lot, but it just turned out that he was pissed.(when you say go to hell, usually, it impplies that you dont wanna be with them any more...atleast thats what it means to me...)
Being a manager of restraunt myself I must say that your manager is a freaking idiot. There is no reason he should have told you of that.
He should have taken the note, ripped it up and left it at that. It is not the associates choice to fire individuals for whatever the reason. The manager shouldnt worry his associates about being fired, or cause them to have feelings that would create a harsh work enviroment over such an immature matter like that.
Anyways done with my rant about your stupid manager.
Just simply ask him, don't raise your voice don't be mad just ask
"hey i was told there was a suggestion in the box to fire me, did you do it?"
Or something like that. It may have simply been a harmless joke and their might not be any meaning behind it at all. You shouldn't be mad about it, and if you are pretend your not.

I get this alot XD.
People who are my friends for years suddenly just start ignoring me.
Then when we start talking it's like nothing happens.
Then it repeats.....
Oh well I cope with these things...
I'd try to get the full story from as many people as possible first, because then you have some ammunition to use when you talk to your friends.
Are they jealous that you have a job?
That would be like Peazel and RufF being jealous of MinigameEast for being in Clan MP), since they're both already in Clan MP anyways...
