I don't know if it's only me that doesn't always see the pylon. But whenever i refresh or reload the page of SEN. Right as it loads up i catch a pylon at the very top left. I'm not saying its a glitch or bug or anything but i think it's weird. Do i get $1,000,000,000 minerals for finding the secret?! lol j/k

It's just a longer image... already discovered that long ago... try opening SEN in 1600*1200 resolution, than you'll see the whole picture

It's there for people with larger resolutions (like me). I see all the way to the 2 carriers.

Only if the screen isn't made for it.
I'm using 1024x768
But I've noticed the Pylon too. On my screen I can just barely see the rim.
