I'm sorry if this has already been asked, but I couldn't find any tutorial on it or anytihing from the search. How do you cloal tanks, like in Cloacked Tank Defense. I tried disabling them, but I kept crashing, even when I didn't have vision of the disabling of the doodad state. Can someone let me know how to do this?

Only the unsieged tank can be cloaked. All you have to do is set doodad state: disabled.

If that is crashing you, let me see the map.

Well cloaking the tanks works now, I'm just an idiot and was doing something wrong. But how would you do thisi in the game? I want it so when someone sieges a tank, it gets cloaked. I did something like this:

Trigger
Players:
¤ P1
Conditions:
¤ Always();
Actions:
¤ Cetner location TANK on Edmund Duke Siege Tank - Tank Mode

Trigger
Players:
¤ P1
Conditions:
¤ Bring Edmund Duke Siege Tank - Siege Mode to TANK
Actions:
¤ Remove Unit Edmund Duke Siege Tank - Siege Mode TANK
¤ Create unit Siege Tank tank mode at TANK

Trigger
Players:
¤ P1
Conditions:
¤ Command 1 Siege Tank Tank Mode
Actions:
¤ Disable Doodad state at TANK for Siege Tank Siege Mode

This doesn't seem to be working though. It says "WARNING: Siege Tank Siege Mode, unit unplaceable" when I Siege my Edmund Duke Tank. I even added a Wait in between the remove and create actions, but it still says this. Is there an easier way to do this?

You need to make sure you can spawn a siege tank where the hero one is at.

Try spawning it at somewhere it can be spawned and move it to the tank location. If it is still there after trying to move it there,
Create 9 Scourge at location 'Tank' for P1
Move location 'Tank' onto Scourge at 'Anywhere'
Move all Siege Tanks at 'spawnhere' to 'Tank'
Remove 1 Scourge for P1
Move location 'Tank' onto Scourge at 'Anywhere'
Move all Siege Tanks at 'spawnhere' to 'Tank'
Remove 1 Scourge for P1
Move location 'Tank' onto Scourge at 'Anywhere'
Move all Siege Tanks at 'spawnhere' to 'Tank'
etc until you have the remove copied 9 times.

To less complicate what Legacy is trying to say ... You can do this all in ONE trigger. When the player commands a sieged tank (sieged, not regular), center a location on it then remove it then create a tank somewhere with no units, then move that tank to the location and disable it. What Legacy is saying, is you can make multiple "possible" spots for the tank to go to, but I think if you use a large enough location it wont really matter.

Actually Chu, if you can't spawn it there, you can't move it there either (I'm pretty sure because of all my maps that have had this spawning problem).

I've been able to move in places where I couldn't spawn. Oh well, what about a scourge on JYD. I think that would work better than the 9.

Scourge on Junkyard Dog will work just fine I suppose but the problem is if it goes too far (moves from the side of a cliff to ontop of the cliff, or moves from the edge near water into the water onto an island). But I suppose it shouldn't do that kind of stuff too often.

There are probably millions of techniques happy.gif

Is junkyard Dog where something roams randomly? I tihnk I saw something like that in the tutorails section, but is that what you guys are talking about?
