Everyone brings up different solutions to this, but there is one very easy one (Cheeze mentioned it in the second topic):

Open the map with WinMPQ and delete the (listfile). It will not remove your sounds.

Also, if you didn't notice, the map is still actually saved, even though it says cannot be written.. But to solve the problem, like Heimdal said, you should remove the sounds, and/or extra strings that have the same sound, and only pop them back in when you are not using starforge any more, because i believe starforge is the only editor that creates this problem when you are switching back and forth between editors. To avoid this in the future, If you must use starforge after another editor, first delete the sounds then go into starforge, and then add them again in Xtra, or whatever editor you are using, when you are done in starforge..

You don't need to delete the sounds. Just the listfile.

ummm no it doesnt save.... i mean i did a whole bunch of triggers and pressed save, then it said yadayada ya can not be saved for writing, then i close the editor, reopen and no changes were made... the trigger work was all gone.... happened with several maps... Might be viruses in my comp....
