Ok, I need some spells for my map and I've never been really good at it, and I'm sorry I don't just take the time to think some up, but it's choice of thinking up spells that are not really that good or getting good ones from you guys.
I ask that you do it in the following format:
Name: Heal
What's it do: Heals the players Main Unit
Basic trigger work-around to make the spell:
A
Current player brings unit to 'Heal Spell Location'
Current player has so much mana (gas)
C
Modify hps 100% of the level hes on
Subtract mana (gas)
preserve trigger
Doesnt have to be explainatory triggers just a general hey u know what action/condition i mean when i say this kinda thing.
Thanks for any help or spell(s) you may provide.
Some spells I currently plan on using are Heal, Mass Heal, some summons spells, temporary invulnerabilty, and a fire ball effect spell lowering all nearby enemy uints to 10% of their hps

This could have a bad reaction, like if the unit's health is below 10%, it would be like healing the enemy..

But you wouldnt use it unless u had a good amount of enemies surrounding you, and most of them would be full health except the one your attacking.

Next time you move it please tell me where You moved it to, it took me 10 minutes to find where you moved it.
And 2nd really dude I need help with spells thats why its in map assistance, because i,m not good with them really so im looking for help but in a different way, plz move it back because it was in the right forum, map making assistance, i need assistence with spells because I suck at them, as for the map-maker pairing thing you can delete it, I wanted to see what peeps thought of it if it was a good idea, but you pointed out it wasn't and I cant delete since you moved it so pls move this back and delete the other one.

Map Assistance is for technical assistance.
Triggering.
Ideas is for, well, ideas, and spells are ideas.
So, no, Assistance is not the right place for this.
Also, in my opinion, using any spells that modify Hp's to a percent are bad.
Very bad.
For example, a Fireball that just changes enemies' health to 10% would do practicaly nothing to a weak enemy, but be uber-rigged against a powerful one.
Same with Instant Death spells.
As for the Spell Ideas, I oculdn't help you unless I saw the map, or knew much about it.
Flag beacon teleporting was useful. I think i was the first to use it
I alrdy have town portals configured
but I really need spell Ideas, and you really wouldnt need to see the map, its likw 1% done anyways so it wouldnt help you, any idea of any kind of trigger/spell that would be useful, anything ill take it and might use it, any ideas no matter how dumb you think they might be
well do you want cool FX or weird ideas for what is actually done by the trigger?

ok well i got some ideas make a spell which alows to create duplicats of the unit that well take the blows from the enemys but can't harm the enemy's which say the unit must be helsonated in that case i have been thinking of this spell for a while and i hope you use it

I think it would be best if you made your own triggers

Spike Storm
(Lurker) Spikes shoot from under your unit hitting enemy units around you.
Remember to move the Lurkers under your unit instead of spawning them at your unit.
Plasma Ball
(Reaver) Shoots 1 scarab at the enemy.
Cover up the Reaver by using explosions
Burst of Speed
Detecting which direction your unit is facing, teleport it a few spaces forward to make it seem like it had a burst of speed (and make sure to order it foward again after that).
Ok those are some good ideas I think i can figure out the mirror image thing mario is talking about, and the spike storm that your talking about legacy but how do I cover up the reavers with explosions, I'm sorry I'm not quite sure on how to do that, and how would i detect the direction the unit was facing if theres a tutorial on how to do so if you could direct me to it that would be kewl.
Spell ideas:
Magic Arrow:
Creates a Guardian at players location, gets off 1 shot, then dissapears.
Disguise:
Enemy units will not attack the player for a certain period of time, but the player cannot attack either.
Chain Lightning:
Kills one enemy instantly, then damages another enemy strongly, then damages another enemy for little damage.
Dimension Door:
Allows the hero to teleport to a location nearby (within a certain radius of the hero.)
Fly:
Temporarily turns the hero into a Wraith.
Slow:
Slows down one enemy unit.
Forcefield:
Creates a barrier within a radius of the hero.
(Spells 'borrowed' from 3DO's Heroes of Might and Magic III)
Spell Wretched Earth:
Have mulitple interceptors fly out from your loactiona dn then have them killed and replaced with spider mines with a hyper triggers.
thanks guys these spells are really coming to life, I'm hoping some other poeple post some more, maybe we could all start a spell collection thread, that maybe could get stickied so people in my position could come and find it.

Here is a sample map of direction detection: [attachmentid=7938]
For the explosions covering the reavers, just do it like a bound (create unit, kill that unit). It would be best if it were an air unit.
The explosions would need to last quite a bit of time so that the reaver has enough time to shoot.
