Looks like a good map, but I'd like to know where Zerg is supposed to fast expo? I'll post some more comments later when I get home, I'm at uni now.

Not bad at all. i didnt think you were into melee map making, that was a bit of a surprise to me.
I like this. Its not great yet though. You should try and find a way to make a fast expansion area for quick expos. Also anothr problem is the mineral setup, you didnt place the minerals very efficiently.

There are no big unbalances I see here, you did a good job, make sure you keep with it and update your map.

Nice. I like the modification too. I think it's a good idea not to include gas when players have a free "personal" expansion. Here a choice to expand to natural at expense of defense or the "safe" mineral only is a nice compromise. Zerg especially will have to decide how aggressive and how much risk they want to take.

2 maps, Blade Storm and Dahlia come to mind. They both have "personal" mineral only expansions. Dahlia's natural however is more similar to yours as it is much farther away from main than Blade storm's. Some ppl find this a bit annoying, but I think having both as Blade storm does is too much in terms of "easy" resources. I only bring these 2 examples up because some ppl may still complain about your natural being too far away even with modifications. These examples might help you cite your opinions too.

Also map is very comsmetically appealing. I just want to try and "jump" some of those gaps! Maybe hit those ramps with a vulture Evil Kenivel syle! Ok sorry for the extra sillyness. Map has a lot of potential.

Great map MillenniumArmy.

I think the best part about it are the expansions placement. They're just far enough apart where you won't be all caught up in feuds over expansions but at the same time there's hardly enough to go around.

Actually theres lots of gas. Only two expos dont have gas. And there's also two other gas nodes that are hard to see from the minimap ss. I circled all the gas nodes here:

I didn't see the middle geysers, but I don't know if you can count the middle base when you are counting up geysers. Do you expect a zerg to secure the middle of the mapbefore going ultra-ling? Zerg would need to go to the islands before they can get enough gas. Also, there is the problem that they can't fast expo.

Not a horrible map though.

I have gotten that feeling quite a few times.

In fact, I think we should have Beer, or one of the keepers add some regs to the pro section.
Maybe we should mention some?
