Staredit Network -> UMS Assistance -> Sharing Vision

I am sure this has been discussed before, and i am pretty sure that it isnt possible, however my question is: Is there a way to share vision at a certain location, but not the entire map? whether it is a computer player or human..

Couldn't you just create/remove map revealers? Or do you need to see invisible units as well?

Nope, sorry. I've asked the same question. But you can turn off shared vision for yourself and turn it on for a computer and add some of the computer's units around the map so you only see where the computer player's units are.

You can place map revealers ... create/remove units on hyper triggers ... use a computer controlled player to give vision.

I think he means at Location 1 you can see Player 8's invisible units but every where else in the map they are invisible (Just an example). I know he could use detectors, but its just a bad example tongue.gif I had this same problem too, but I forget what it was for (It was a long time ago.) I know what hes asking, and again, sorry concienne, cant be done.

i have never created map revealers before, does it actually show the map revealer? or just shows the vision? ALso, if i use hypers, wont the vision be too slow in showing an area, if i create, then remove the map revealer?

Map revealers will not show up as units.

I'm talking about create/replacing units, not map revealers. It's just an alternate way of controling HOW much vision is given aswell as where.

Nope, it doesn't show the MR. I think chuiu_os means create the map revealer and leave it there or remove it after a certain amount of time. Im not sure what creating and removing an MR repeatedly would do, test it out.

first of all, the map revealer does not show up on a map.

Also, I think he meant that he creates Units really fast then removing it because then you can't see the unit at all.

If you just create a map revealer, don't remove it unless, you don't want the vision there anymore.

In order to remove a map revealer, you would need the "Remove all Map Revealers."

"Remove all Map Revealers at 'Location'" will not work.

Does that mean for every player, or can i remove all map revealers for a specific player?

You need to remove them all for a specified player/force/all players.

You cannot remove them at a specific location nor remove a specific number.

I have removed specific map revealers at 'Location' and not all of them. And yes, it was for the same player. I think it was kill. I am not sure. I did it years ago (Don't use map revealers much n e more)

Center location(s) on the unit(s) you want to have vision with.
Create and remove a burrowed drone under those units.

It's not exactly what you want, but it should somewhat work.
